Hey man, it should be fine to repost your stuff in this new thread as it wasn't your fault the last one was closed.

The rifle is looking better, reminds me of a tusken raider style of thing. Are you using air brush/spray paint or just a tin and a brush? Spray paint might be easier and cheaper to get and it'll give you a nicer, more even look.

Keep it up.

Looking good so far, did you cut those vents out at the back?

if you want to weather your rifle, one of the best techniques i have found is that you get a sponge, like the one you would wash a car with, really uneven surface, etc. Get yourself some silver spray paint, lightly spray it over the sponge, and then very softly run the sponge over the parts of the rifle you want weathered. This trick has worked for alot of us over here in Australia, ranging from rifles, to clone and stormtrooper weaponry. If you want heavier weathering on a certain area, either increase the amount of paint on the sponge, or wipe with more pressure on the area. Experiment with this until you get what you want an you will have yourself a nice looking weapon:)

Oooo, the rifle does have that awsome Tusken feel to it, dosen't it? I'm liking that! (y) Keep up the good work!

Thanks Vaders_Pet,
Thats a great idea, I might use it on my shot gun. Im trying out hand painting,Im going to get some more paints from walmart. Any one have some suggestions on what colors? I was thinking a little bit of a rusty color and i would like some more, and what vents??
Thanks Jodo,
It dose have a tusken look to it.I like it.

If you are doing hand painting then i have just the right thing:
Any colours by a company called Citadel Paints is what you are after. They have some of the best paint colours i've ever seen , they are the company that is recommended to use on models, ie warhammer40K, warhammer and the lord of the rings tabletop game. I used them for my longshot when i painted it up, and everyone loved it. They pride themselves on making the colours look as real as possible so it will go nicely with any props you are building. If you are after silver, there are a couple i can suggest, "weathered" effects are best used with their "tinbitz" or "boltgun grey" they make excellent steel colours.

Any model shop worth a grain of salt will carry them. They are slightly more expensive than other paints, but you can be assured of their quality and you don't have to use much of it to get a good coverage. Not sure of prices over there but a small tub sets me back about $5AUS over here.

that is a complete list of their paints, let us know how you go!:)

my parents wont let me buy off the internet unless its ebay.

;)Thats just a list of the types of paints they make. You don't have to buy them off the internet, you can go into a model store and purchase them.

Keep it up, just make sure you sand the bondo down nice and smooth, any uneven surface might make the blaster look wonky.

Good luck, and keep the progress coming.

I got to sand it down and it broke. The bondo didnt hold. Im going to get some fiberglass to get it on better. I post some better pictures later of my newwer progress.

I would glue it on first then, and then maybe bondo it.

Oh yeah, as GCN said, JB Weld is awesome, give that stuff a try if you can.

You can get it at Wal-Mart.
