Re: NEW! Custom Bounty Hunter Costume

Got back from Glamis Sand Dunes guys on Sunday around 5:00p.m. Had a lot of fun before the Sand Rail of ours took a dive and broke down. But at least we still had our four ATVs. I got some photos taken so they will be up sometime tonight to show you all. Now in terms of my mandalorian armor I have come up with a few ideas of what I am going to do with the helmet and all. More information on it will be to come. I am excited that I can finally get back to work on my armor kit.

Alright; I am pretty well tired tonight from having to work through a PowerPoint presentation for my computer class. So the only thing I will post up tonight is a few of the photos I got while I was at Glamis. Here they are and enjoy guys:

    An overall kick @$$ adventure.

A real mandalorian plays in the sand and goes to the dunes of Tatooine (California). A regular person likes climbing trees and getting scraps from them. Srry had to but yeah the dunes are a lot of fun. You miss out if you did not live where I am.

Though I am not in NJROTC anymore I still hold high support for the Navy. But any part of the U.S. military branch is good. I remember in the class we would make fun of the military branches and their names and slogans.

-Air Force we called them the Chair Force (sorry kal'ika).
-Army we made fun of their slogan of An Army of One where they can only count to one (sorry for those in the Army.)
-Marines we made fun of their slogan of The Few. The Proud saying there are only a few of them (sorry for those in the Marines).

The Coast Guard was their but I don't remember. But that is what fun of in terms of the other JROTC military branches.

    ----

Now in terms of updates I was going to work on some stuff today but lucky us (being in Arizona) we got rained out today so there is no dice on painting or any of that good stuff. Sorry guys!!! Hopefully, tomorrow or sometime this week we will have that okay weather of working on stuff.

N.A.V.Y. Never Again Volunteer Yourself... JK, my dad was NAVY, he retired back in 87 after something like 20 years, he was a recruiter for a while in Colorado (go fig, NAVY where there AIN'T NO OCEANS?!?! ). We lived in GA, FL, CO, CA, HI, VA. He retired as a CMCPO. I gotta admit, I hated moving and losing friends, but I wouldn't have been able to see all the thing and places I did if he wasn't in the military.

Re: NEW! Custom Bounty Hunter Costume

I usually don't engage in the service branch name calling... but I've heard the Coast Guard called the bathtub navy, and I've heard the Navy Air Wing called the puddle jumpers...he he. Now honestly I hold no animosity toward any other service, I was originally going to attend the Naval Academy and enter as a Marine, but instead I went to real college and graduated as an Air Force officer, turns out the Navy/Marines didn't have the job I wanted... oh well! lol I've already been in KY, FL and now OK. I've also had the chance to see places like SD, AL, DC, WA... I know, nothing really spectacular yet but I'm workin' on it! lol

As for the armor, as soon as I finish up this mass sketch I'm working on, or at least get it closer to finished... I'll go ahead and sketch out your colors concept for ya.

Puddle Jumpers wow! That is funny what to call the Coast Guard. I have to admit. But now that I remember I don't think we made fun of the Coast Guard in NJROTC. I know one of my friends who is now a Junior in high school wants to go into the Coast Guard and know pratically two people going into the Navy, three people going into the marines or in the marines, and one person going army. I had the idea of going into the Navy but then the thought pushed away when I realized I'd be leaving behind my family and friends.

And I do say thank you to those who have served and will serve. You have the sacrifice and courage of a mandalorian warrior. That is why I always carry my Navy flag at the DUNES!

And thanks kal'ika I much appretiate it. It will help me out greatly.

Re: NEW! Custom Bounty Hunter Costume

If anyone talks $hit about your flag, you have my permission to kick their shebs.

Yeah, it is hard to make friends then 3 years later move, then make new friends and another 3 years later lose them too.

Honestly it screwed my social life, but i was a kid, and at least I had the strength to hang with the nerds and not the druggies

So, Commander if you join, remember how it will affect your kids, but you are young, you can get in quite a few good years and then retire with out affecting your kids (obviously you'll wait on having kids right ) because when you retire, they'll still be young, and you can retire back home in Phoenix near your family.

My sister married an ARMY guy and moved to PA, none of our family is there, she got divorced and is stuck there. My wife and I live within 7 miles of her family and my parents.

    I talk a lot don't I?

Re: NEW! Custom Bounty Hunter Costume

I talk osik! lmao but it's all in good fun. I have friends in every branch, both officer and enlisted and we give each other a hard time just for fun, no one branch can win a war on their own. As for military families... Honestly, raising a military family is all about the family. If the bond between the troop and the spouse isn't strong there will be problems. Fi and I had our fair share early on, still going through some, but we're getting it sorted out, she's a great military wife/mom and she does a great job with out daughter. But yeah CC... if anyone else ever gave u any trouble for that flag I'd be right there to back u up! lol

I've know a few of the younger navy wives who were just that YOUNG, and they cheated while their husbands were out serving their countries, thank God my mom was strong, I mean not having my dad around for up to 6 months at a time.

Re: NEW! Custom Bounty Hunter Costume

adonian its alright I enjoy the talk as much do the other people here when nothing else is happening. It's good to know....

Well during my four years of NJROTC; I had a lot of people asking me if I am going into the military. When I said no they asked then what is the purpose of taking NJROTC as a class and then in the long run not joining the military. I told them straight out its not a recruiting class it just introduces you to the NAVY background and gives you that experience of what you are to expect when you graduate high school. Heck when I first joined my mom thought it was a recruiting class until she came to an event and found out otherwise. Then she started supporting me on every event we had through the class.

I actually only had one person ask me about the NAVY flag and it was when I was at Glamis during the Thanksgiving trip. He asked me if I was in it because he was in it and on leave so yeah. But I am all for the support guys thanks. I only like the NAVY because they go on the big BOATS and I enjoy the travel and boats. LOL!

Re: NEW! Custom Bounty Hunter Costume

I was in the Army. Went in to travel, see the world....they sent me to Georgia....and not even a part of the state I hadn't seen. Heh.

    Our thing was acronyms.

U.S. A.R.M.Y.- Uncle Sam Ain't Released Me Yet
Y.M.R.A. S.U. (US ARMY backwards)- Yes My Retarded A** Signed Up
A.R.M.Y.- Ain't Ready for Marines Yet
M.A.R.I.N.E.- My A** Rides In Navy Equipment
M.A.R.I.N.E.- Muscles Are Required, Intelligence Not Expected

All in good fun, of course. We were a mixed post, so we had people from all branches (and even foreign millitaries) with us.

yeah I work with some guys from other nations, it's actually kinda cool getting to meet all of these people from all over the place. My base now is mostly AF, but I've been stationed w/ Army before, not bad ppl (for the most part) (and that's a compliment coming from me! lmao)

*chuckles* Yeah. Our barracks were smack dab in the middle of the "crossroads" of the post. We had Air Force and Navy crossing through our company area all the time. Their barracks were on one side of our company area, and the D-Fac (dining facility) was on the other side.

Plus, I was an Air Traffic Control Equipment Repairman and so my workshop was filthy (so to speak) with AF personnel. Always got teased about it from the other Army guys. All in good fun, of course.

I had a quick design idea and went through searching for photos. Here is what I have found. But I am still going to wait to see what you draw up Kal'ika.

Not much really but it is a cool concept for mando armor. But I am willing to wait for Kal'ika.

Yeah; well seeing as I choose red and black colors in my buy'ce design I figured to put the red, black, and white for the armor plates.

I am going with mandalorian plates and placing the design of the dragon from the ones above. The photos were there to show what kind of design I'd be putting in. Do it with standard mandalorian plates and all. Many thanks BTW I much appretiate what you are doing.

Merry Christmas everyone. These holiday times sure do take people away to their family and other fun things. Hope your holidays were a blast and hope you all got what you wanted for christmas. ME? Well I got a HP Laptop computer that is loaded with Windows 7. Seems a little faster then the Vaio I am on now. But I still love my Vaio no matter what. Also got The Clone Wars movie which now I can watch....

Though Christmas is over there is still New Years which will still keep me away from working on armor. Next week for New Years I maybe going to Glamis again. So I'll be on to see what is going on and all. Have a Happy New Year guys.

With New Years 2010 comming up I have gotten a little busy. Probably like all of you here on TDH. Anyway, tomorrow I probably wont be here and for the rest of the week I wont be here until Sunday if anything. If you can guess what it is that I am doing; well then heading down to Glamis Sand Dunes for another trip. This time for New Years? So everyone Happy 2010 and see you all when I get back.....until then.

Got some photos from my trip that I'd like to share with you all. A few from my doggies opening their christmas presents. Let's just say they had a good christmas recieving two christmas presents each. The New Years trip to Glamis was also fun; finally got my mom to ride on our Sand Rail to a hill called "China Wall". No crashes and no casualties. So that is the good thing. The next trip will be on my dads birthday and I am really hoping to go on Presidents Day.

    Christmas Day

    New Years 2010- Glamis

There is more but to many to posts. But this is what I got from all I did in such a short week. I will be having photos of the armor plates and all around tonight. Thanks!!!!

So in terms of updates I am going to put on all of the soft stuff (including belt) and put my helmet on and take a few photos to show you guys. So expect some photos for tonight guys with just the soft stuff and all. I actually had an idea of using a heavy leather jacket as apart of the armor but I am not so sure. Will have to see.

Well it will take a lot more work to actually do for me which technically I don't have the money. So it will take a lot more time to actually get the requirements needed for the Mercs. I can ensure that. Once after the comi-con ends I will be working more on the costume to get it finalized and ready to be offical. This includes a good jump-suit and vest. But for now I am simply going cheap with stuff around the house and then afterwards will begin saving up. I actually have a big bucket which I am putting all my loose change in. That bucket I will cash in for money to get more things with the armor. But for now it is basically cheap but it will look good. I guarentee it.

yeah I know the feeling... mine's as cheap as I can make it... I'm using cardboard for half of my plates for cryin' out loud! lol fortunately I've also got A'd'ika making my buy'ce and... a lot of my soft parts are stuff I had left over/laying around the house. I like your concepts tho... can't wait to see it finished!

Have to say that school is starting up for me after monday. So on tuesday I will be heading back to class. But that wont keep me from working on this project and getting things done. Mostly all of my classes are during the morning near the afternoon time so when I do get off I will have time to sign on and check things over and all that good stuff. Just wanted to let you all know that production will slow down but wont come to a halt. As soon as I can I will get some photos posted to show you all. Hope you all have a swell weekened.

Hey guys, sorry I have not been on as of lately. Reason: well school hasa started and the weather here in arizona has not really been on our side if you know what I mean. I am sure others from AZ would agree as well. But not only that but I have started school which is also a hand full with what my math teacher and the rest of my teachers are expecting from me. Granted I still got photos and a good portion of everything ready it is just the matter of school and getting work and all that done.

I'll give it my all on the weekened. My nephew has football in the morning. Heck this week it is a double header for his team and then I got this paragraph assignment for my english cllass due on February 2nd along with three math sections from my math class. Hey no one said college was easy. It does take up time in doing things you would normally enjoy. LOL!

Depending on what one's major is really shows through how much schooling you actually have to have in the long run. I joined a club at school that will really help out in leadership skills even though I took a class in high school around leadership. This is going to be helping me further my knowledge with leadership. So I can't wait.

ooh I loved leadership classes! They were fun stuff, although mine were required lol I know you'll enjoy it tho. College, while hard was definately on of the best experiences... you get opportunities to make new friends and sometimes you get to do some really cool stuff and meet some really cool people.

Oh yeah; as what one of my friends said: "Do what you want to do not what your family says for you to do." I love that because I am going to go into something I would love to do.
Watching the new Clone Wars episode gave me an eye-catcher with the mandalorians helmet.

Found out that those mandalorians dont have range finders on their helmets.

In a way that kind of proves that mandalorian helmets dont have to have those range finders on their helmets. But hey there is always other means of what to add onto a mandalorian helmet and that is what makes them so unique. I am still in the decision of what to put on my mandalorian helmet but it will be most fine. LOL!

Very so true. I got the top of the range finder for my helmet but dont have a stem. I think I am going to take either a glow stick that is batery operated or a remote control car antenna and place it one my helmet along with helmet lights. Just got to to go on the search for one through the house which I know I have one around here somewhere.

I love watching the progress of this. Your helmet looks fantastic and I can't wait to see what you come up with for the rest of the suit.

I thought the iPod-glove was rather clever too. =D

As what L3g3endQ said above I have been preoccupied with other such things. Naimly the number one thing hhas been school. Registering for the fall classes along wth tryig to gehomework assignments done has kept me from actually signing on here. However, I am hopping to put more into this and get into some work on my armor. The days are getting busy for me but I will get on when I come to post any updeates. Thank you all for being patient with me.

Seeing as it is a week before the AZ Comi-Con I figured that I need to step it up a bit in getting my armor completed so I can wear it to the comi-con. This means getting me getting some white paint for the white part of my armor along with some velcro. After that I will have everything set and ready for the con. Photos will follow; I am hopping to get stuff done tomorrow that way when I do babysit on monday through friday I can be all ready. Thanks for supportming through this guys. I appreatiate it.!!!

YEp, time is running out> you should really get onto the Mercs Clan boards and attend some of our armor parties. The clan has grown in huge leaps and bounds. we even have a booth at the con.Swing on by.

Well I have the cardboard stuff; i am going to go through with that before I move onto the plastic stuff. But everything will go well. They are just two things I need to get. So it is really not that much in all honesty. I am actually having my little nephew going so it will add into the fun.
