My progression thus far (pic intense)

New Hunter
Hello again, this is just a heavy pic update of where my progress sits with one month till the Halloween countdown till I'm out having fun with my SUIT!

Stuff I still need/am waiting on.
Boots- to finish my shins/top foot armor
bracers-In mail

Since my last post in the other thread topic I have finished the cod piece, which now looks like a metallic sumo diaper (yet it seems to fit) with out the kidney or the "butt plate" It holds nicely and fits snug!

Finished the Thigh armor, painted the shin armor, and am waiting to add velcro to the thigh/knee armor so it helps to stabilize the armor from slipping down when moving around.

Finally took a picture of the Jet Pack, but the indoor colors dont do it justice and looks much better when the sun is out vs indoor+flash pictures....but eh w/e

Added my own Kill stripes vs using decals, looks really amateur but fits me just fine.

I'm not the greatest at weathering but as I am going for quality looking armor, there is a few areas I'm just speeding through, so IF some of the weathering looks a bit weak, yea it probably is. idc, not going for the 501st look just a kick *** battle suit.

So here are the pics minus the knee armor close-up, you can find them on the other post=)

p.s. im working on an ammo belt atm also so it will bridge the gap between the cod/vest*

Raise your thigh plates up a tad. Looks like you may have them on the wrong sides also, the dip at the top needs to go inside so they don't scrape against your cod piece...at least thats what the dip's function is there for.

Check us out in Mercs when you have your kit ready to go. We're always looking for new mandos to troop with us. =)

Yea need to get the velcro attached to the flight suit to assist them from sliding down my leg when worn, and yea had them on the opposite legs =/ oops.

bit of a thong going on there lol , looks good so far . but once you start trooping in it you'll want to lose the thong bit

Just outa curiosity, is that cause of uncomfortability? or cause it looks a bit goofy?

Cause prancing around my apartment does not seem to bad, but thats with wearing it for about 5 minutes will all the gear on =/ and I could just dye it black like the leg straps to conceal its goofyness.

And the flight suit still looks a bit blue, but we dyed it again and i think its fully black now, not really sure....Maybe really really dark blue?

I just added the groin strap to keep the cod piece from "flapping" don't know if anyone else had that problem when first making a first suit? cause for me Id like to sit or lean casually and when sitting the cod would drive straight up into my gut=/ this way the cod is being pulled down a tad by the elastic strap.

The actual look I was attempting to get was the look of the SWG mandalorian's (thong) cant find any real still photos of it anywhere mainly cause all the screen shots are front on pics, but if you have ever watched fetts vette then you can catch a good glimps of it at the beginning of the video about 30 seconds into it.
and if you havent seen it here it is, enjoy!

Looking good!

About the thong, I say as long as it's comfortable, and a bit less noticeable, it'll be okay. I've had to resort to the thong as well, since the jumpsuit I'm using has a really baggy crotchal region.

Another option to keep that cod piece in the right place is to put velcro on the back of your girth belt and on the top front of your cod piece. If your using a Jango style girth...thats usually how it's done. For Boba girths it won't work as good.

Nice job buddy!

I like it all, though for the strapping around your cod/thong, I'd have used a different color. Something that would have blended in a bit more?

Keep it up though mate. ;)

So here are a couple shots of the semi assembled bracers just waiting to finish the lights for the flamethrower, has anyone seen my soldering Iron? I cant find it....anyway here are a few pics of what I've done so far.

finally had a chance to finish the left gauntlet and add those flame emitters and did the wiring to add led's to them but once everything was in place they didnt turn on =/ oh well the lights I had were not very bright to begin with, so here it is finished!

So I finally picked up a pair of "commando" boots from walmart and pieced everything together to them for now, all thats missing from the photo collection is the utility belt which I might get at the local army surplus store, and the Jet Pack forgot about it till halfway through the photo shoot =/

But anyway here they are minus those 2.

That looks great.
I really like the gauntlets.
Will you be adding anything else to it aside from the belt jet pack?
Like a cape or trophies?

probably not at this moment, although at a later date I may, I am currently at my moms house helping her do some home repairs while im dying the utility belt i picked up today at the local army surplus store. I think after my alterations it will look quite sweet!

maybe a bit later tonight I may add a finished pic.

FINISHED!!!!!!!!!

Aside from sticking foam inside the bracers for stabilization im done. Here is the finished product!

Enjoy! any questions just ask.
