I like the boxy look. Do you think that you could make the kneepads look a little thicker? Or perhaps double the thickness with another layer of plastic?
Im going to buy a new ,resin helmet for my suit.
The reason why is that my helmet was sitting under the bed,stuff got put on top of it,and now its horribly disfigured.Im keeping my eye out on ebay.

Hey,ive got a question.
I got a vest pattern im going to use.
Im not sure if it will work.

That vest pattern could work, ya just have to mod it a bit and add the shoulder pieces, and the boba bad Jango ones are significantly different. But ya, it should work. My mom's a seamstress, so I sorta know what I'm tlaking about from whatching and talking with her about this stuff.

Lol, a friend of mine was wanting to incorporate the triforce in his armor as well.
Your Armour is looking good, just a thought you might want to round of the lower part of you cod plate. You don't want any trips to hospital, could be messey.... hehe. Other than that it's looking good, i like the colour scheme.:albino

I need to sand the upper part of the visor area(i cut it out with a jigsaw because i never heard of the exacto blade method)
Its been painted many times
Layer 1:red over stock blue
Layer 2: black over silver and white over red
Layer 3:2 layers of black over the entire helmet
It was deformed,but it seemed to correct itself when taken out from under pressure.Im planning on putting it the visor using the glued on bolt method.

One thing I have to say is you won't make it into many/any cons with that sword. Aside from that, I don't think it would look too bad, maybe add something to the sheath.

For that sword, you can make one out of plastic. Just get some styrene or ABS (suggest ABS since it's ain't as flimsy), cut it out, add a hilt somehow, and there ya go.

The green pouches are fabric stuffed with cotton.
The brown pouches are regular ammo pouches.
The black things are pvc sections painted black and pluged with a hole plug
and red tape around the center,there supposed to be grenades.
The belt is just a cheap leather belt from Longs.

You mentioned that you were looking for a resin or fiberglass helmet on Ebay. Try contacting SgtFang as he sells decent resin mystery helmets for (I think) $115 shipped. I like mine and the price is definitely right. You'll have to buy the visor and the range finder stalk seperately, it doesn't come with the kit. It'll take some time to Bondo or Bondo glazing & spot putty the rough spots (as it is a recast of course) and the dent as well, after that you're set.
I have another suggestion concerning your vest. I just got ahold of skygunbro and he's going to start working on my Jango style vest made from a faux leather/vinyl or otherwise known as "pleather" for $50 + shipping I believe. And that includes the material also. I'm sure he could sew you a black Jango style vest (cooler looking than the Boba vest in my opinion) too. And it saves a novice seamstress alot of time, cursing, and fingers sewn into the vest. I hope this helps you out in some way. Should you want they're contact info, PM me and I'll point you in their direction...Oh, and your armor is really coming together nicely btw.

You could line the green fabric pouches with cardboard, plastic, or something, to make them a sturdy to use at cons. You know, to hold your keys, cell phone, ect...

Looking good, but your dome seems a bit too clean. You have damage on the bottom but not the top.

My vest is almost done,as is my ammo belt.
I still need to get my gauntlets and a cape/or/backplate
im going to a thrift store this weekend for some boots.

cool,you may want to buy a mag pouch from a surplus store instead of that one but other than that its lookin good, and what kind of pistol is that?
Actually, I was just thinking that myself, either that or put some stuff into the bag looking one so it has some bulk and less flippyness to it. You also may want to get a different belt buckle, or possibly just make something to go over the top of that one, the current one looks a little bit odd.
(I personally use a big heavy duty belt bought from lowes for like 20 bucks. thing is massive, awesome, and looks very industrial.)
I'd recommend flipping the belt behind you so that you do not see the buckle, but you can have the pouches facing your front. Also I'd recommend that you weather up the pouches a little with the acrylic wash method.

you stand very wierd haha, but that is beside the point.
I would paint the scratch marks some sort of metalic silver and weather over it, that way it looks like dull metal.
Or tape off the area around the scratches and R n B it shiny, then weather it.
In fact, weather the whole helmet, not just the white, I already told ya that Cameron, what are ya doin????

The backpack isnt Star Warsy, but it is coming together very nicely.

If you are wanting some type of back pack then maybe you should look at makeing one that looks like the RC (Republic Commando) packs.

Try a camping backpack. There are some that are made of plastic. A hard back pack would seem to be the best choice for any mando IMO, but it's all your choice.

Great progress. Let me make one suggestion though. I would move away from fastening your armor with velcro, it gives away at the worst possible times. I would go with snaps, they are a costumers best friend.
Trust me on this, I found out the hard way.

TantivIV, you can use JB weld to put your hinges on. You can also use some rivits then bondo or JB weld over them and smooth down to cover.
Cameron, I have to say that when I sent you that kit...I had a doubt or two. I didn't have time before AdCon to mess with it, instead of having it sit around I figured I would give it to someone who could make use of it. Man you've blown me away with how well you have made these things. If I could pat you on the back...I would.

Piano hinges are what alot of people use. You can get those at Lowes or Home Depot.
