My first helmet (pic intense)

Hi everyone, a while back i was asking for some advise on how to start my first helmet, i finally got it somewhat finished thanks to the members and their advise. Here are some pics feel free to be brutally honest, your comments, critiques, advise will help me when i start my next helmet. by the way this is a DP 95. the next one will be a Sgt. Fang

Looks good for a first bucket. The funny thing is youll get better at it. Progress is a never ending kind of thing.

I like it alot. the deco on the dome is different. I'd grime it up a little bit though, like in the cracks and corners. The deco makes it look like the helmet is well worn and taken care of, but theres always a little dirt you can't get to.

I dig the painting design on the dome. And yeah-- even if you're going for a nice, clean look, I'd say just a smidge of grime in the corners would make it come to life!

hey thanks everybody,i really appritiate ,everybodys coments .about the weathering, yea i know, i steel need some smudges in the corners,and i that i was done. but i think i need something in the midle of the dome, i thnk i left a way big gap in the midle.oh and now for the armour.

is it just me,or did my pics just disapear?

hey cuz, i took the liberty of fixing your thread, i dont know why but your pics disapeared, lets get that weathering done and finish that thing up.

The pics. weren't working, and when they aren't showing, a red X, in a white box shows up. :) They are working now though, I like your helmet, very Jando-esq. But I love the dome details, reminds me of a helmet straight out of Open Season! :cheers

im glad you mandalorians like the bucket, the design is mine, but i have to admit, with out mi cousins help,i dont think it wouldof looked that good. by the way , does enybody know haw to put the dark grey,on some silver . with brush? sponge? anybody.

Applying with a sponge is probably the best way, no streaks. Make sure you use an artist's natural sponge though as the cells are much smaller and you don't risk having little circles in your paint.

thanks for sponge advice novalltalon, i have the sponge now.so i will probably finishit this weekend.

hey batboy,thanks for the dent comment. i hevent got feed back on that, i got the idea from my cuz, he made some on his armor, and i told him to make one on my bucket. oh and lutso.yup; i didnt think a dp95 could look that good, I instaled i rebrant vizor, and for shaping, i shaped a paint bucket handle, and just put it in, i didnt even gluedit i just stays in place, this weekend i added a stripe in the midle,and did some weathering, i will try to post some pics tomarrow, or in a couple of days.

The dent looks great! Love it!
