My First Armor!!

I like the color scheme, the jumpsuit look like the ESB one. But as you said, we need progress pics

Thanks! Wow... That feels better than i thought it would. I love props form my fellow mando'ade! Yeah ammo cans are working great, the only thing i suggest, would be to add some sort of backing to make it thicker. It's 1/16 of an inch so, yeah. But i don't think you can tell.

That's some wicked custom armour you have there and Metal too. And the paint scheme rocks too.....Very nice

Dude! Are you really in Korea? I'm also debating wether or not to make gauntlets. Mabey i should just use fore arm wraps. Guess I'll have to see. I'll ask again when i can actually put the armor on.

Yeah I guess i should tellyou guys that i dind't paint all my scars. Most of them are accidental from where i was cutting. thats one of the reasons i didn't want to paint the whole thing lol. I knew i couldn't paint anything better than actual damage. And sice it's steel you can do that. You'll notice that there are a few indents in the sides and burn marks(most natably on the left shoulder) that weren't intentional, but i left them because, well they look awsome lol.

Oh another cool thing with steel like this is that you can use real rust! I've been working on my really old car(putting in new muffler) and got a good bit of rust residue, it rained and presto! Rust stain. Worked really well for blaster marks and cut on my chest.

Hey I haven't posted in awhile. Don't know if anyone really cares, but here you go. Ummm. I think I'm gonna change the color scheme. I don't know though. what do you guys think? Origonal or new?

This looks great! Have you found a flight suit yet? That might help you decide on a color scheme. I found that my colors fell into place as I found the other pieces of the costume. Can't wait to see the neo-crusader bucket. I used part of their symbol as the stencil on my armor.

I'm making my flight suit. I have materials for both suits lol. I think i'm going for the origonal.

Ummm I haven't posted in.... wow, a long time. Well, armor is not done, but its close, well actually it might never be done, but V.1 is almost done. It's hard to get stuff done at collage. Here's an older pic, but gives an example of my kit. I'll finish it this summer when i go home.

Yea the college things really sucks for Mando building, LOL. I just starting checking the old haunts out again today. I'm going to try to finish mine by March... Yours looks way good. I'm happy with mine too, but mine's ABS/Plastic/Rubber. I really like how your metal looks.

the only qualm i have with my armor is its thickness. Its a problem with metal armor for obvious reasons. Some other members have bent down the extra metal at the edges to give it more depth.

You get lots of good ideas from here its great. I still need a helm. Thats what i want most and its about all i have left to get... I'm debating getting a Jango Rubies, despite Rubies general suckiness, I've seen some good helms come from the Jangos with a little help.

So here's the aproximmate scheme for my helm. I think i'll ad some jaing eyes and some mando'a script on it too.

what kind of paint are you using? im trying to figure out the best brand sorta deal, i mean id rather spend a little extra (emphasis on little) and get better results

I'm just using primer acctually. The only paint is the silver and its an automotive paint
Ok I'll post a picture just for you Cod'ika. I just finished repainting my back plate and collar armor and was working on painting my helmet an had total failure. I didn't wait for the paint to stick before taping....

Thats my helmet not painted before the fiasco. I'll take a picture of the failure tommorow before I do a repaint.

WOW! Your whole armour scheme and set up looks awesome. The soft parts correspond nicely to the overall look. I know this is gonna be one sweet custom when it's all done.

Oh! and yes I really am in Korea. LOL Been here for nearly six years. And I'm pretty sure that I'm the only mando here.

Oya! Complete beskar'gam minus one helm, which should be finished this week! Yeah so my vest is a little skewed from the positioning of my web belt but hey, thats not a big deal.
