My current progress.. might need assistance.

Hi there, Dave here,
Well It's been a long while since my last actual post... or thread... or... whatever. Anywho, I thought I'd put it out there that I'm working on my custom mando right now and let everyone know about my idea. right now its a little rough... and kinda split into to ideas. It started as a western style think, somewhat like Cad Bane but Mando. I do med Mando armor and have a duster some pistols and a rifle. then I saw Saz's Celtic buckets. I almost cried :cry, they are awesome and in my price range (y). needless to say, I'm getting one and probably get a standard from him in the near future. well that helmet inspired a new design entirely, based on the celtic influences on that helmet. that got me thinking of something radically different from my earlier design. no duster but a kama. no rifle but a vibro axe. light armor instead of medium and perhaps a JP. I will probably be scratch-building my Axe, but I'd like to know, does anyone use a swiffer wet-jet? all I need is an empty bottle. if anyone has one let me know !

Thanks
David

I don't think we do in my house, but I can check with my mom, as I believe she uses them.

Also, you're right, Saz's buckets look amazing... I also like his Krayt Dragon one :)

I would be a nice guy and buy one and Empty it Because i might use the liquid in my antics and send it too you, but my parents cut me off

ooh that sucks. I might just break down and buy the mop and the whole she-bang. perhaps if I clean my floor every day... hour... 5 minutes, I'll use the whole bottle. anywho, another thing that I've been thinking about is the pole. do you guys think I should go with wood or pvc pipe?

Thanks,
David

Hey, Dave

PVC is going to give you more flex in your haft than wood will. It's up to you, though. How long do you want the haft to be? If you're going for a short handled throwing axe length then PVC would work fairly well. For something longer, I'd go with wood. It's sturdier and less likely to bend.

there will be picturesI promise you, but the process has not started therefore there is nothing to photograph verstehe. and thsnks for the tip. I'm going to the long handledaxe like the one Lando carried in ROTJ. so wood shaft it is.

very true, very true indeed. I might make a couple of different axe heads depending on the con. I know live steel is allowed at Dragoncon here. as long as its sheathed. but I don't plan on sharpening the blade.
