My color scheme...

I was playing with photoshop (still a noob to it) but I was going to go for an assassin look. Any thoughts?

Please not the red will be more of a hot rod red and with both the red and black/gray would have a slight gloss to it.

I would still prefer earthy tones personally.

As Jarvis says to Stark........."Very subtle sir"......I am fairly sure that was sarcasm.

Go with Earth tones, Boba Fett looks like someone you don't want to mess with. Asymmetry could be your friend, and what's with the extra two chest plates?

I think he meant colors...? I really dont dig the striped armor thing that a lot of guys do on customs. Maybe something like an emblem on it but the multi-colored flashy stuff isn't "tactical" in any way shape or form. Look at multi-cam its colors are the colors a sniper would want green tan brown ect...check it out. But the hot rod red is far from it. Do what you feel is nice and you I guess but look at what was actually in star wars and in the comics not what people have done. IMHO 90% of the custom paint jobs people have are really tacky.

try a variety of grays, light medium and darks.. black stands out even at night or rather especially at night.

depending on the setting, grays and sparing neon colors could work, think Coruscant where everything is lit up with neon signage 24/7.
while that could work in-universe it will look awkward everywhere else, better to just adapt Mandalorian Protector colors, or a mix of dark colors.

hot rod red might work on a lava planet or a planet orbiting a red sun, possibly a planet with a lot of red plant base/ earth/ rocks.
but since you won't be walking around with a portable backdrop it will look funky here on Dirt...Crud...Earth .. whatever this planet is called.

I say keep playing with Photoshop, get about 4-5 samples of your choosing and have a vote on it on the forum. I guarantee you'll receive honest responses.

If you want reds, there are reds in nature too. They are the deeper reds like burgandy and such. They just aren't as bright.

For red I'd go with something along the lines of a color you'd find in Utah national parks or even a Mars dust shade. An approximation would be a red oxide primer. As for the darker color, think a darker shade of gray. If you really want black can be used, but weather it with light dusting of gray to take some of the edge off. There's my two cents. Wish you the best of luck and hope this kit turns out great for you.

Red is a hard paint to get right of nature but i agree utah has awesome red rocks. Greys and natural is the way to go. Assassins are stealthy. I use paint shop for months before setteling on a custom job. Dont get frust. just stay with it.

If you want to blend into the night your best friends are grays and blue ( particularly navy blue) as for red: if you want a more natural red go with rust red...red oxide primer or kyrlon red brick paint are good natural reds. If you want to go with black go with a matte or flat black as to be non-reflective...in fact stick with flat paints to cut down on reflection

I agree with the red being a bit out there for an assassin. Not sure where you live at or whats around you but Ive seen alot of ppl take pics out in the county. Make you colors similar to that area so you could blend in with that area. Or think about the mando's background if he is from some planet like musafar or another red planet make the red a bit less bright maybe maroon or rust
