My bucket...finally

Hi everybody,

I just finished my helmet today and wanted to see what ya'll thought about it. I tried to do everything right, but if you notice anything out of place, missing, or just plain wrong, just say so, and I'll see what I can do about it!

This is my first bucket build, and I used Alan's WOF templates (thank you SO much for those, Alan!!!:thumbup). It's made out of fiberglass with a little bit of sintra here and there.

Now all I have to do is finish my armour...

Love the colors! Seriously, i wanted to do gold and black but now I can't. =( The scratches crack me up...they look good, don't get me wrong, but I want to know the story behind that fight. Was is a kitten? Girl-Mando had enough of your drunk self at the bar? Com'on, lemme know.

looks like a horrible dish washing accident, a fork slipped out of his soapy hands. Wow is he lucky he was wearing his helmet... Just kidding ;-)

Love the Led Head Lights, thought about doing that on my bucket, but couldn't decide how I wanted to do it. Light it up, let us see it!

I was thinking of blinking LED's in my key holes anyone think that'd be ok or overkill? I wanna go Black and dark purple for colors scheme so the LED's would be UV.
Or Red and Blue.

I'm still working on getting pictures of the lit up EL wire and LEDs, so I'll see what I can do.

If you keep looking for another post from me, you'll all see what the scratches are from; I'm working on the weapon right now! And yes, I'll think up a story for it! I do love the idea of a dishwashing accident...sounds like something I would do...

Also, Adonian, the bottom LED on my bucket is a UV, and probably would go better with the blue than the purple you mentioned...I'll try and get some pics on here ASAP.

hhhhmmm starting to re think the scratches I want to do on my bucket.... I am thinking of doing three scratches like claw marks a bit deeper than you did in my bucket.

THX 4 the update, and thanks for the look at my bucket, I REALLLLLLY like your color scheme, I only hope mine looks half as good as you, baby your the best (OOPS the spy who loved me just poped into my sick twisted mind) must be the fumes from workin on my bucket

All right here are the lights!!! Sorry for the terrible picture; I just couldn't get them right!

OH YEAH! That looks great, I'm gonna use red EL on my visor, and hopefully superbright LED lights like yours if you don't mind. I should have my right ear cap on mine tomorrow, but I dont know if I wanna do a standard RF, maybe something custom. Lemme know on mine. (by the way, I linked from my bucket to yours to show it off, I really like it)

Very nice bucket, can't wait to see what you do with the armor.

looks good but you should whether the gold some where the visor is make it a bit more dirty to sync more with the rest of the bucket

i like the side lights that is a nice touch and cool how you can somewhat light the visor up

Royal- I'd put the armour at 94% finished. It should be done before Christmas.

heh... um... so, when trying to buik up your posts with useless stuff, it's a good idea to not just flat out say that in a post. admins can just delete your posts, and your postcount will go right back down.

I really like the adittion of the helmet side lights. I'd thought in adding some ligths to my own helmet. It gives the helmet a nice touch and makes it look similar to a Republic Commando one. Great Work!!!!

Thanks Odran!!! I added the lights to give it a little bit of an RC look.

BTW, I just finished the weapon that put the scratches on the helmet. I'll post pics with the rest of my armour (when that's finished)

The visor lighting really sets this one off! That's something I definitely hadn't considered in my current plans. Looks like a revision is due.

Ok, its final. I have decided after seeing your LED ear I have to figure a way to do it on mine. And I love the EL lighting. Now we can see where the Commando's got their design wink wink. I hope u don't mind me stealing, borrowing, hostile overtaking your ideas and using them on my bucket!!

Ahh, yes...back when I was a Cuy'val Dar training commandos...

you should post pics of your armor I really wont to see it, oh and are you 100% finished with it or at least 99.5%

Here is the EL. I installed it about half way under the brow of the helmet, as you can see in the picture.

Thx for the post A'den, and yes it helps, I just need to go get some more hot glue sticks to put in the EL. What size fan is that 60mm or 40?

The fan is a 60mm...I got it off one of those generic coolers that come with a CPU...

I'd post pics of my armour, but the pics are trapped on my phone at the moment...and I really don't want to put it all back on just for a photo shoot...so...

If I can get 'em off my phone, I'll post them.

Dude I saw your armor, it is AWESOME. I'm kinda fat, and wont look as good as you in yours, but I hope to get to work on my armor soon, gotta make the shoulder bells, the cod and maybe a back plate, not decided on full cape or just 1 shoulder.

You gotta do a chromakey background so we can put you in the universe bro.
