My armor idea

I love Commander Cody, and I just love the visor concept. Also love the Phase 1 clone helmet. So I thought why not create a Mandalorian like that.
Also (correct me if I am wrong) Who trained Cody? Was it a Mando? Or was it just the ARCs and Commandos that the Mando's trained? Why did Cody's group have orange. ( I looked up as much as I could, but never found an answer.)
Just reading The Republic Commando books and thought of the idea.

Sharp artwork. I like the colors. Whats on the shoulder?

Ive seen a couple of mandos with the visor, havent seen one come off quite right yet. They always seem really boxy. Id suggest not making the top edge straight across, make it have the same arc as the top fo the helmet.

The only other concern I would say is vision, your gonna be having tunnel vision for sure

I too like the Cody visor as i'm (with help) making one for my EP3 clone lid.

I really like this idea & artwork, you could even have both ear peices as the right hand side (on Boba) and mount arms to the visor so that it could be raised if not needed? 8)

Thank you. I am an illustrator. Its an antenna, like whats on Commander Cody's armor.

Cody was amongst the first set of Clone Commanders trained to ARC standards by the ARC Trooper Lieutenant Alpha.
I love the concept though and your right, as the only Commander with that kind of additions to his kit, the idea had to have come from somewhere and it;s logical to assume that it would be a Mando

I think it's safe to say that your concept is completely awesome. If you can bring that drawing to life then it will be quite the mando to behold.

Cody's boys (212th Legion) were orange for no other reason than it looked cool to the guys who made the cgi models, in case you were wondering

Ehh...its just a drawing. It will never come to real armor. I will just keep drawing ideas.

i think the fin needs to be further forward and longer
will the visor effect the deployment of the range finder?

You should try and make some armor! It's not really all that dificult at least to make just some simple armor. I just cut mine from steel. Umm i think it would be sweet to see as a set of armor. though i have to say that the visor looks a little low. well, then again he is looking down. I like it though, looks really good.

Thank you. I wanna say Cody was inspired by a mando that helped train the clones on Kamino.

You have to have [img]website/something.jpg[/img] to get your image to show up on forums. So [img] and [/img] before and after the url with your jpg image.

this is a sweet idea! can't wait to see what happens with it. love the concept art too.

Youll need http:// in it also.

That's cool. That "Rex-inspired" one looks a lot like what I'm planning to do for my girlfriend's custom. Very slick!

I agree with everyone else, awesome drawing(s). I think not only the visor makes it but also the fin. I may add a fin to my helmet now that I see how cool it looks.

I make the artwork by hand. I am a freelance illustrator on the side.
Pencils, inks, and prisma color markers.

So Rage? are you gonna go for it? I think the Blue one is perfect.

I agree, the blue is "icy" and really shweet.

Well, unless I dye my jumpsuit, the orange would be more fitting.
I bought a used jump suit and the photos looked light gray with dark gray shoulders and the short sleeve part. When I get it its tan with dark gray.
So..I am not sure yet. I have a black kama, and getting a black vest soon.
We shall see.

Well if the orange will match your jumpsuit better, you gotta go for your Cody image, I really like the Visor, it makes him look more agressive.

Thank you. I need to draw him all out now. I own a Kama and need to work out the boots and lower armor now. What I want and dont want.

They are just Fordo's eyes (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Fordoblaster.JPG) with the little spots added from Rex.
I just combined a couple of different Jaig eyes is all.
