Here's the in Progress shots of Michelle's Custom mando
The Concept colors for the helmet

The helmet itself is a SgtFang with the dent filled

That aught to look pretty nice! The color pattern of pink and gray/charcoal mix well.

The part that will be Hot Pink was masked off ( as well as some scratches) & the Charcoal Grey Metallic was sprayed on

and here are the boots she'll be wearing

i added the Black on the upper cheeks and back of the helmet
Peeled off all the masking tape & fluid
added the scratches

I wanted a shot in the sunlight to better show the true colors
so I took this shot

immediately after I took that pic, TRAGEDY STRUCK!
The wind blew the box over & Michelle's helmet fell 3 feet or so to the ground
here's the damage; ( I am not pleased)

Maybe you could work it into the battle damage of the bucket! Just add some hair line fractures to the visor in that area when you attach it. It would definately add a small but uniqe detail!... Looking good so far...

I already sanded the area & am adding Evercoat to fix it back to how it was.
Fortunately, I didn't do the Pink yet.

Yeah, thats not that big of a deal...and definitely fixable. Atleast it happened while you could fix it and not somewhere that you couldn't.

Crisis averted.

Taped off for the Hot Pink
also applied the liquid mask for some scratches
Sprayed the pink
The last pic is outside so you can see the true colors (no accidents this time )

I did the scratches onthe Pink & stuck the earcaps on temporarily

Just keeps getting better and better =D

I added a few touches & did some more scratching
Still needs the washes applied

Looks really good...the only thing I might do is kinda roughen up the scratch edges...it looks like you threw paint drops in some spots. If you sanded them that way, try sanding them a little more to make the edges more jagged. Or maybe I'm just being anal. lol

You may already intend to add details, but it would be cool to see a lot more little scratches. I was looking at the paint job over in this thread:

lotsa little details there, like the middle part on that rocket pack you just painted. Also, this may sound cool or not (pink mando helmets venture deeply into the realm of subjective opinion), but maybe if it had a... red visor, or some colored visor? like this:

You are exactly right.
i had some issues with the grey not scratching easily.So the scratches just look like the liquid mask
I'm gonna see what I can do with the grey
Maybe outline the scratches topically with some darker grey

The pink was much better & turned out fine

I added the RF ( It's off a 96 Don Post)

Best bet is to look at motorbike visors, I dunno if they will be big enough, but I am sure that you can get film for them, which may fit a standard clear visor, the colour you want may be available that way.

Or there is placing a red film over a metallic visor, I found a red film here:

I got a red visor, but I need to put mirror tint on it before I install it. Got the visor off Fleabay from tk_2111, just go to the flea of bay and put in this # 300252159784 for his green one, email him to ask for a red one.
