    MR ReKast

Thought I'd share my new bucket with everyone. I recently acquired a resin recast of an MR with the mandible issue corrected. I immediately filled in the dent (sacrilege, I know!) and started to paint it up in the Jodo scheme. Here is my progress so far (Note, without the visor installed, the mandible still *looks* tapered but *is not*):

    Still to come (though obvious):
    - I need to sand and paint the earcap and attach it with the rangefinder stalk in place.
    - Slap on the decals.
    - Dirty the entire bucket some more.
    - Install the visor.

    I'll keep everyone updated.

    Re: MR ReKast

Got some more work done at tk-7602's house last night. Cut out a visor from a dark green-tinted welding visor, got my rangefinder earcap assembled, painted and attached with the stalk/topper and painted on the ear details until I get a set of decals. I also padded the interior with foam. I still want to dirty the bucket up a bit more, but here it is as of now:

I'll try to get pics of the rest of my suit up soon. Everything is done except the jet pack (scratch-built off the WoF templates, just needs sanding/painting/thrusters installed) and the thermal detonators for the belt.

The light green color is one of Krylon's fairly new colors called "Italian Olive".

Do you mind if I ask how much you shelled out for this?

sorry, no-can-do... this is one of the "misfit casts" from my attempts at making one myself. the helmet you see there would have been in the trash, but jodo here salvaged it for cost of materials that went into it.

it's one of about 8 total that have been or probably ever will be made
