Mandalorian Merc MONTROSS comic style Added photos 12th Aug 13

Toyed with it but too many of the cells have the format I have done to discredit the path taken.
Add I spoke to several respected armourers on the "ears" matter before taking the decision.

If I had done Jango well I would have been correctly told this was wrong.

Add Montross actually pre-dates Jango anyway, why would he follow his lead?
Jango is a little urchin from another planet taken under Jaster's wing.
Montross doesn't follow Urchin bast*rds ;)

I never posted the Hasbro figure as ref source, that was another member.
I find HASBRO tend to screw up the figures designs as they re-use parts moreso than fresh sculpts.

As said in the comic cells it does strongly suggest the way I have gone and that is perfect as its closer than Hasbro would ever get.

As said in Jangos comic life story. Jango is a young child, found by Jaster, Montross and other commando's. So again why would an established veteran Mando follow an upstart who later on would be a Mando warrior?

BTW this is Montoss's attitude to the boy.

Your suggesting they build their own helmets...and theyre not made already. I think going with a jango style ear woulda made perfect sense. And it would have flowed better overall. Not suggesting he was copying anyone.

But why should Jango's helm be the fore father for all Mandos, even those before him.
That does not make sense.

I get why Hasbro did it But as said I am not using their inaccurate toy figure as base for this, rather the cell work from the comics.

Case in point to settle this, several cell images and NONE can be mistaken for being Jango style.
