Not sure if I am adding this to the correct area, so please move if needed.

I am looking to make the backpack featured in the 3 pics of the white McQuarrie Fett, the one with what looks like the small multi-rocket launcher.

Has anyone tried to do this before, or does anyone have any ideas on where I can start looking for some helpful tips?

Just starting on this, and hoping to get by with a little help from my Dented friends.

You should go find a worker in the toy department, the walmart near me held every mquarrie fett that came through. Kept them in a box, had at least 12 of them.

those sneaky nerfherders

as far as the backpack goes, the figure would be ideal, since it's a physical thing with proportions (tiny, yet usable proportions none the less) that can be applied to a prop. the other top source would be just looking for pictures online, maybe of the figure, or even mcquarrie's original designs that lucasfilm or some lucky fan, put online.

good luck, and that would be awesome to see, traditional :jet pack are nice...but it would be great to see a :jet pack ( i love icons :) )

:cheers

Since I spent last night going to 3 walmarts, 2 targets, and a toys r us, does anyone have the mcquarrie fett figure? And even better, does anyone have one they took out of the package that they could take many many many photos of for me? PLEASE?!?!!?

hunh.. I went to a Walmart when they came out and just picked one off the shelf... I can take some Pics of the White Fett figure if you'd like...

Ayka, that would be great. Shots of the back and side profile shots would be a big help. Need to get an idea of size so I can start drawing up some sketches. The big problem I'm going to have is when it comes time to do all the little details, and that interesting shoulder catch will prove interesting...

It's not very big but here's some concept art i found googling
hope it helps (y)

I made two of the McQuarrie Fett jet packs from scratch. It's the design from the paintings McQuarrie did at Bespin. Doesn't have the rockets. One is still unbuilt and in the hands of a friend, but I don't know what condition it's in. Could see if I can get it for you.
