    Matte, Flat, Gloss, which way to go?

    Just got my Bobamaker lid, ready to start painting, flat, matte, gloss, satin,which way to go?

    Matte and flat paints,
    but if you need to use a gloss becouse you can only find the colour you want in gloss then use gloss (or satin) once you are finished you want to coat the whole helmet in a Dull coat any way so that will even out the sheen levels

    thanks jinto, every color i like is in gloss, but i will put a ton of dull coats on to even it out

    yeah use whatever you want, just go back over everything with a matte clearcoat a couple times to dull the shine.

    And if you do not like your paint job sand it down with 300-100 grit????

    I had the same problem with my paint color choices. The olive was a satin, but the burgundy was gloss. After clear coating the whole kit with a flat clear, all the colors look the same as far as finish goes.
