For most of the face area and the top raised detail I did use bondo jelly and regular bondo. I use 1/8th painters tape to mask my rough shape, build up the shape with the bondo and when it dries I sand it out and then use a razor knife to carve in the detail. Alot of the shapes are started with thin styrene or MDF and then bondo is applied on and around.
LOTS of sanding is involved.

Mostly bondo jelly, MDF and styrene. I try to avoid the plastics as much as possible as I don't have a lot of luck with the bondos adhering to them properly. MDF is your friend
The more I look at this helmet, the more I absolutely love it!! You have rekindled inspiration for a custom Mandalorian. My first one was 5 years ago. So much has changed regarding the custom Mandos since then.

I havn't done too much more at this point as I've been working alot this week. Unfortunalty I have to take the weekend off as well so not much will get done at all till next week. I did recieve my silicone today so I am getting closer to casting this bad boy up for those of you interested in a copy.
