**UPDATE SEPT 5**

Well the molding went really well!. It's pretty much flawless except for 1 small blemish up under the brow. I'll be filling it for those who want a copy so there is virtually no clean up necessary.
The pictures are of the first pull. It's covered in crud from me handling the mold after demolding the master. Its just excess clay, dirt and some primer. I always get a dirty pull from the first copy out of the mold.
I'll have a finished and painted helmet for show this weekend.

Nice looking helmet Is that a resin copy? Or is there fiberglass under there too? hehe

This copy was made from high impact casting resin. Not cheap stuff, this is the high end stuff. The copies will most likely be skinned in this stuff and FG inside. This is the way I did all of my MS3's It makes for a clean and strong surface.

I've painted the first copy up throughout the last week. This will show a better idea how things will look with some contrasting color.
Turned out well I'm happy. This is not the helmet I will be using for my personal suit so it will be going up for sale soon.

Sweet Helmet man but i have to say it looks like its a little hard to see
thats why i like Rohlan Dyres helmet cause i use my mando armor in air
soft wars so i need to see good but still a totally awsome helmet dude

Its not perfect to look out of but is certainly far better than the standard fett helmet. I'd say I've got an extra 20-30% visibility out the sides because of the enlarged eye area.

Any update on the rest of the armour?

I'm starting the blasters and forearm/gauntlets very soon.
I'll be casting the chest armor up this weekend as well.

No pictures of anything yet. Its been along and hard week with work and I'm working over the weekend...AGAIN... Hopefully next week I'll have some good progress to report.

I accually have molded and casted the chest armor. As well almost completed the handle of my pistol.

I'll try to get som pics up tomorrow.

Here is the chest armor with the ab plate and the Helmet together.
The chest piece is a copy from the mold, the ab plate is the master.

The blaster handle needs a bit more work and of course a barrel.
I've been tinkering with both the shoulder armor and the thigh armor, with a back plate in the works.

Gnarly stuff! I'm liking the clone look of the ab plate. Keep it up!

That helmet looks outstanding! It's really unique, but you've maintained the mando look excellently, I especially love the color scheme. (Cannot wait to see more.)

Small update with the blaster.

That first pic of your helmet, chest and ab armor looks as if the mannaquin is holding some kinda crazy circular saw weapon! (your drop saw in the background!) Looks kinda cool! Really nice to see something different in the DV area MS.

Here's an update of the more or less finished blaster master. Just needs a bit of sanding here and there. The reason I did the blaster ahead of other more obvious armor parts is because the side arms will be magnetically attached to the thigh armor. THe blasters will attach into recesses molded into the thigh armor. Kind of a robocop styling.

I am also mounting at least one of my two side arms directly into my armor. For the holster. I will be intrested to see how you do it.

that sidearm looks reminicent of a VP70, without the extended shoulder stock of course.. vewy noice.

I won't even say what I would give for one of these helms, too bad I missed the run, here's to hoping that a) I win the one in the Cargo Hold, or that failing that b) You still have a mold and can still make a copy even if its slightly higher priced I would buy one.
