Ok I know this isn't really a custom Mando but its close enough I thought I would put it here. Insted of in the off topic or one of the other sections. Any way here we go.
---------------------
So The paint has been slowly wearing off my 3ish year old laptop and about the middle of this past summer I began to toy with how I should repaint my little friend. To start with I thought steampunk complete with little armor plates but. But when I got the case apart and really started trying out patterns nothing looked good because of the beviled edges on my case. I was also afraid of putting my rivet/screw to far in and leaving something to poke the back of my LCD. So I started thinking of engraving the back of my case. I considered lots of different things, I finally decided to go Star Wars. Why not? Most of my backgrounds and themes are Star Wars, why not my case? Any way I have recently started in earnest with my custom Mando, and I have always loved the Mandalorian "Jaing Head" emblem so I decided to put it on the back of my computer case. Then I had the great idea, "you know the back of LCD screens lights up bright and I could use that to make a back lit skull. So I cut a hole in the back of the screen case using my dremmel and exacto-knife (for the finer parts which took for EVER). Strangely the hardest thing in this whole endeavor was actually trying to find red tented or red opaque plastic. I never realized how few red items are out there. I finally found a dish for a bubble wand that would work after about 3 weeks of looking. Tonight I put the case most of the way back together and here is the result. I still have a lot of little things left to do to the case including a battle scared paint job, and the adding of a USB port and perhaps building in a card reader or jumpdrive for a second hard drive. But that will have to wait tell summer when I don't have so much home work.
Any way enough talking here are the pictures.
And now for the REALLY COOL ONE.
