Mandalorian Pilot Project

My first project of mando costume I realised 1 year ago for my son.

So it is time to make costume for me :). What do you think about my project of mandalorian pilot's helmet?

The idea was to not change much in the shape of the helmet.
I think about doing in the future a pilot Mandalorian costume. The inspiration for me is this picture (love it):

Of course, my costume will be my own design :)

So,
here is my project of chest armor with a helmet. I still used TheGrandDuck's drawing, but I will use my own photo in the suit, and anti-g trousers to impose a draft piece of armor,etc.
In the draft of chest armor - it is my combination of the shape of the clone chest armor with the shape of the mandalorian chest plates.
A helmet is a slightly modified version of the 1. As often happens that the first idea is usually the best :).

I bought for this project:
- Khaki Suit - Bundeswehr
- British anti-g trousers Beaufort MK4
- British holsters with tactical braces.
This will be the basis for the whole costume

O_O wow thats the best pilot concept i've ever seen and i've seen at least two toher projects,i think people will strugle to top that.

WOW! Those helmet concepts are great! What helmet will you use for a base or will you build from scratch?

Wow, I REALLY like those armor plates, especially how it looks like a combo of bulk armor and tech stuff. I really like the helmet as well. That's gonna look SWEET when you're done.

I am still at the design stage. Soon I will start to build a costume. I still have some cool ideas on the part of the equipment. I want to use the most easily modified part of mando armor and clones. I want the costume to be associated unambiguously with the world of mando and the period around the period of the clones.

this looks great want to see this come to life.

I put parts of armor on the photo of me (below) in the german bundeswehr jumpsuit and RAF anti-G trousers (for BAC Tornado) + tactical harness (fragments visible on the shoulders). Of course, in this moment without blaster under arm, belts, gauntlets, something on legs, etc. But I will complement the visualization. On this picture it is not visible - the anti-G pants have (on the back) many places lacing to closely fit the body. The visual effect is amazing.

For this project, and for my friends of Polish Manalorian Society "Manda'Yaim", 501th Polish Garrison, etc, I made prototype and mold of mando helmet. I called it "T-Rex" for T-shaped visor :)

The first phase of the pilot's helmet modifications.
The white frame yet unworked but gives an overview of how the viewfinder will look like . It is almost invisible in the picture but this item is back 1mm of the outer edge. The upper part of the helmet is not yet modified.

that is awesome work man! kandosii! did you make the bucket from scratch? or did you buy a basic one?

What an awesome build, Peter! You have some mad skills with modelling and casting. I like what you did with your son's Boba Fett suit and I love your Boba Fett helmet project(s). You are a true talent! Just keep up your great work!

Very nice work! Everything looks like it integrates perfectly into the overall design.

I'm really liking this project. So far everything just looks..."right". I think one of my favorite aspects of this helmet is that you've shown the Borden connector "data port" in use. In my searches here, I don't think I've seen anyone depict that and was something I had contemplated showing on my display helmet.

That is awesome, be prepared for people to throw money at you for one of those lids.

Thank you very much for Your comments. It's very nice to read them. I try to do helmet in the level of detailing as a scale model. I'm focused on full details and the best possible performance. I make this helmet a few months. Also I have to do whole armor. I want to make it to Celebration Europe in Essen.

CEII is coming, so I need to speed up work on your costume.

New toys:

- Received from the engraving: parts for the "Comlink" panel for the left gauntlet, which will be integrated with touchscreen smartphone ; parts for "diamond" in the middle of the chest ( but much bigger than BF). I was inspired by chest of Darth Malgus.

- Received from CNC cutter aluminum components. These are the two buckles that I designed myself to harness ; metal collar that will be attached into a helmet. As do the high altitude pilots in their pressure suits

No problem.
I'm able to make some RF's in this way but not earlier than the end of august. Now I must make prototype of jetpack, silicone molds, cast it, paint it (for my friend, who wants to wear it on CEII) and of course I must finish my costume of pilot till CEII. So...Now I must hurry up !! :).

If I'll have enough time, I'll prepare some mando helmets and RF's and bring them for You to CEII. Just remind me by PM at half of June. OK ?

Next run (approx 10-15 pieces) will be at september (I'll have also new molds of dented version of helmet and optional ear panels: the same "left-like" and the same "right-like" for both sides)
