Yes. The chat system we had was junk anyway. I've been researching some new options, and hopefully one of those will work.

Can I suggest a good old fashion IRC chat channel? I still use IRC for a number of the other forum communities I am involved with and for those not willing to DL/install mIRC or a similar proggy, you can install a java version right into the page. Let us know, I am interested in joining a realtime chat channel for this or the custom site.

Well, we finally received our reply back from LucasFilm...
They have approved our logo, so we are good to go. More work for us now as we have to put copyright info on all our media, merch, and pubs now.

As of yesterday, LFL has approved the use of our club logo. A very big day for us at Mercs =)
I'd still like to encourage anyone with some artistic flair to come get in on our regional logo contest. It's a great way for you to possibly win some nice Mercs clothing and get your artwork immortalized as a Mandalorian Mercs Regional symbol.

We are working on a Wiki for anyone who wants to write about their custom Mandalorian character. You won't have to be a member of Mercs or the forums to do this, it will be open to anyone who has a custom character they would like to write a history, origin, or back story about.

It's been a fun ride so far. It's taken alot of hard work from many different people from TDH and other corners of the costuming community to get this together. It's working, and it's exciting to be able to create something we can all benefit from. We had Ray Ramirez join up this week, which was very motivating for all of us =)

Something I would like to announce is that we are now working on creating a Wiki for custom mandalorian characters. Think of it as a repository for your mando's background =D
This project will be open to the public to add their character, edit, etc. Even if you don't have armor but just wish to create a mandalorian character, you'll have your chance to.
We will keep you up to date on when this project goes live. If you also have any experience in this and wish to help out, give me a PM. Right now we should be ready to go in a couple weeks.

The MercsWiki is up and running. It's pretty basic right now, but as we learn more about the code that will change. I would like to invite EVERYONE with a custom mandalorian character to post your character's story! Not only will this serve to inspire others in their costuming and creativity...but it will also be a repository of information that anyone can draw upon for media, books, or anything else related to our passion. You will need to register on the Wiki in order to post, this way you may protect your work from being edited if you desire. You do not have to have a suit of armor to do this, it's entirely based on your imagination. You can upload images to go along with your wiki entry aswell.
