Mandalorian Crossovers

Ok, now that it's spring break I'm going to be working on this alot more. well, this and a couple other projects. Gotta keep the cash flow moving!

Just a small update on the BB mando armor. I FINALLY got it in 3D. By next wednesday, I should have the whole body armor (chest, stomach, back, shoulders) finished by the end of the week, if not then at least minus the shoulders.
Only a couple of pics. One straight on, and the other to show the top edge on how that would look.

 Ah come on, it'll be great!

eh, it depends where ya go with it, a Mando/Klingon armor would be interesting since i think the races have a bit in common both being very warrior based, but i've always thought Star Wars came off far less Hokey, especially in costume regards then Star Trek so that taints the idea for me...

but who knows, could be funny stuff.

Ok, big update. I've been working on the vest, stomach, and collar armor, and this is what I have to show for it.

I like how the stomach plate is going, but I'm going to keep working it for detail mostly.
The collar armor looks great, but it needs alot more work.
The vest is actually 2 layers, or will be once it's made in reality. First is the under vest made of some thin-but-rugged material, and then the second layer that's made of some thick-but-not-to-thick stuff.
Now you have the girth belt that I've kinda hoisted up so it would help my bad back on the long walks and standing around at Cons. It's a wide strip of leather and 3 belts that'll be looped through like pant belt loops.
As you can see in the second picture, the armor is curved to the rest of the body. Curving the armor is part of my problem with getting the collar armor to work right, but I'm working on it.

All in all, this is turning out better than I ad hoped. It's a bit more modern/futuristic tech than I thought it would be, but in my opinion I think it works very well. Next is to work on the back, shoulders, and waist. For the back, I'm going to make something that'll look like wings folded up there in a compartment of somesort, bit it'll be just for show, plus something else to help support my bad back during long hours at Cons..

So, what ya'll think? Any and all C&C is welcome!

Well I have now started work on a great crossover theme for my next Custom Mando. I'm a big lover of 2000AD Comics, so I'm now in production of a Judge Mando. Very much like the Movie version outfit. I will start a fresh tread very soon. This project is going to be called Judge Valcar.... I will start the thread very soon......

Oh, hadn't thought of Judge. Looking foreward to see the progress!

I should be have an update here sometime. Once I finish my current commision I should have a whole lot more free time to build mine up. When a few of these have been made (conceptual and otherwise) I'm going to start up a website to showcase them. It'll be a while down the road, but I'm thinking this summer I can at least put up a temporary site at freewebs or something.

Ok, so my commisioned model is being a pain in the butt, and Valcar inspired me to work on my crossover a bit. I got the shoulder bells, backplate/collar, and the gauntlets finished. The gauntlets were just simple place holders cuz I can't really think of anything to do with those, but I really wanted to put those spikes on the arms 8) I'll probably end up using modded Jango or Boba guants. I'll propably finish off the day with a battarang model  Something with a mix between a bat and a mythosaur.

i was looking on the rubies website last night (to see how much their jango bucket was) when i saw something amazing...at first it seemed rather ordinary...until i realised that it was an exacto blade away from being an amazing mandalorian...it was this

and i thought...this would make a great mando/predator crossover...all you would have to do is cut a t visor out of the removable face mask and put in a visor...then make up some suitable predator mando armour...perhaps use the predator gauntlets in the place of mando ones (there isnt a lot of different anyway)...this will probably be my next project after the mando im working on now

i also saw this...and it got me thinking...this would make a really cool kotor mandalore bucket obviously with the flames trimmed off

all the flmaes have lights attatched to them and the eyes of the skull..so they light up...i just though it would be col to have a republic commando style visor light in a mandalore bucket

ive been on paint for some time today...so i thought id expand on the whole predator mando idea i had...so here go nothing:-

its really rough...but i thought id show you what i had in mind lol
