Lizean Akai - Custom Fem'mando (Concept Pics)

Looking good.
Are you gonna add any scratches to the chest?
I have Republic Commando armor and i figured any high or raised surfaces would have scratches or battle scarring.

Jax, it's ABS. I really need to start using sintra though. Need to contact my local sign shop.

Yeah I thought of that Goldenrod, the only problem is, the most raised spot on.. say, the chest would probably look awkward if I were to add scratches too it, haha. I have added some on the shins and hand pieces though.

I didn't mean to make it look like nips. I meant you could do it on that area but in a way that it didn't appear as such. I'm just much a guy as the next but i'm serious on the battle scarring. I mean what if you had to hit the ground to dodge an attack your chest armor would get scratched right? Put the damage just to one side or higher or in a diagonal pattern. Sorry i wasn't trying to be your typical passive pig. I could be but i respect any lady that jumps into a room full of geeky guys and shows them up. Me included, Art Institute graduate of 92'. Sorry if it was taken wrong. I'm just an artist tryin to help out another. Keep up the great work.

BTW for the record, you are very pretty.

Oh no! I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound like that, haha. I've considered it too. If you're in the prone position, it's going to be the chest that touches first, plain and simple, and it'll foremost be the tops of the female chest piece verses say like, belly armor. In this one case though I'm going to have to pass up the realistic end for sake of some sort of modesty (phhshaaa).
And thanks! Though for the record, Lizean as a character and probably my boyfriend would be too happy about that kind of a comment ;).

I have the armor done for the most part, aside for the foot, small of back and finger pieces.
Next up, finishing up the flight suit, the backpack and helmet!

Not an armor update but it's related to Lizean, so.

Cyare the Nexu being adorable as always, a photoshop doodle.

Hi, I'm J.S. and I'm new here. I've been looking around to build an Iron Man helmet. I'm thinking of starting by making a boba/jango helmet first (not really sure which way I'll go... might even make up my own paint sceme), but I have to say, what you are doing is just simply amazing. This is true craftsmanship right here. And to do it on a minimal to non existing budget, wow, that's all i can say to that.

Thanks all, seriously! I'm trying hard to make this look really good, while yes, keeping everything on a minimal budget (college student blues). So far I've got about everything except about 20% of the soft parts, 20% of the hard parts and I've kept my budget well under $150 so far.The lone thrift store in this mountain valley and ebay have certainly been my best friends.

Armor is done!

The whole set.

Just some constructive critiscism here but I am curious if you have tried wearing the thigh and shins with those bends in them? I think it will not look quite right and be a little uncomfortable to wear.

Your designs are awesome and I applaud your work! Your artwork is excellent! I am curious how you shaped the chest armor as I have tried a couple different ways with plastic but can never get it to look right.

Oya Mando!!! Fantastic job. If theres one thing i'm not that i wish i were it would be an artist. Unless you count demolition as an artform (wich in a way i do).Can wait to see it put together. And Goldenrod said weathering on chest pices, well i concer. Mabey not to much but so, and i know this is gonna sound funny, but the chest pieces look a little.... well, naked. But great work. I obviously need to step it up in order to compete with the best.
