Thanks guys! I'm currently going for a flight suit on eBay (probably a men's small), figure I'll chop it at the waist and modify a zipper or snaps for easy bathroom accessibility haha. I also want to hem it so I get a very form fitting... fit.
As for conventions, jeez. I reeeeally wish I could make it to both Comic Con and Dragon Con, but that kind of money is a little far out of reach. Dragon Con's price tag is a little more realistic, but I have a niece being born early august (travel to Utah), two weddings mid and late august (travel to Kansas), and college starting back up the first week of Sept. Though Aug 30th is my boyfriend's birthday, and he lives in NC, so I'm figuring I'd go for a visit and we can drive to Dragon Con. Oh wow, rambling! So um... yes, I hope to make it to at least DC. I'd love to meet some of you guys and have this custom done too!

He lives in Raleigh/Durham! He's not totally into costuming... not as much as I'd like him to be, not yet.
But I'm starting a Darth Nihilus for him and he's super excited about it. (Eventually hope to do a clone and a mando for him too.)It'd be awesome to meet up! I understand there's quite a few mando enthusiasts in NC, it'd be great to get all together.

Well he's a bit of a closet geek, hehe. Would never guess from looking at him that he's into gaming, muds and even larping. We met about 3ish years ago through Halo 2, and he likes the SW movies and games, but I'm trying to get him deeper into the fandom as a whole though (costuming included). Some day a boba will be in the picture too, hehe.
Yeah! Ok great! We should definitely plan something! I hope to have Lizean done by then, perhaps we could all do a photoshoot?

Yeah I've met some interesting people through Xbox Live, one dude I've been playing with for 4 years and hope to meet him in the next few years; another guy I've been playing with for about a year and a half and I'm meeting him this summer.
I think a photoshoot would be an AWESOME idea, I'd definitely have my Boba done by Aug. Need to have it done in time for the Clone Wars movie! I'd be really excited to see your custom fem'mando in person, so I am watching your progress here in this thread closely.
Sorry to be more off topic; but I wish my other half was into SW. She's a Trekkie. Damn shame haha.

Hhmm, lets see, I'll be reporting to the MTC in Provo UT on the 23rd of july, I'm staying there for about 2 weeks, then flying out to Raleigh. I don't know how I'll be able to meet up cuz once I'm in the mission field I'll be work'n alot. And i won't be able to get on to TDH, or possible my personal e-mail, only the one they give me. So meeting is possible but it'll be a pain. but hey I'll be there for two years I'm sure we can work something out lol.

Well I'll be visiting in probably early July, if I do come and visit before Dragon Con, the trip might be short and might now have enough time for anything substantial in NC. So a meet up more middle of summer would be better, I had been thinking for a while about a camping trip, but camping is always more fun with more people. Lol mando camp. There's also the inevitable notion out there that I might move out and join him in his town house soon, so..
And oh noes! I think a larper is a little better then having a trekkie! Haha! (I kid I kid)
Anyways!
1) I actually acquired my boots, finished 3 pouches, got some leather for the belts and holsters, and the fabric for the cape and shawl.
2) Have all of my armor cut out, today I'm in the process of reshaping it and I'll go ahead and be priming it later.
Won't have a decent camera until Sunday though, I'll see if I can go dig out my ancient Kodak digital (6 years, haha), so I can take some shots right away.

I like to go camping at some state park, about every two months, and you are right, the more the merrier.
But on topic: If you use your archaic Kodak, will you have more progress pics up tonight or tomorrow?
