the ear piece was made out of thick card, and im going to coat the whole thing in pva glue to harden it up! im glad everyone likes the design!

The reality is that all I can say is one word at a time for you. I really do look forward to more progress from you. I think you have a creative touch that others here (myself included) can only wish we had. Me, I can work epoxy and fiberglass pretty well but when it comes to creativity I can just watch and learn. I have laughed all through this post. I have admired all through this post. The concepts are really nice, and the builds are excellent. You truly do have skills, Kyr'am. Btw, where did you all pick up the mando terms. Is there a way to learn the mando language? If so, can someone let me know where?

could really do with a new helmet as a base though. the one i built out of card and fiberglass isnt as smooth as id like, and could anybody recommend a good place to get a blank "canvas" as it were? would still keep the ear design, im really proud of the look of it.

will be back to building asap boomer, and when i do, look out. the first target for the harpoon missiles will be your oversised mouth, ner vod!

no progress on the physical helmet as of yet, but i have found a small bit of down time and drawn this concept pic. Both are from the Reek clan, and it also uses the mask design i made before.

who knows, i may write some mando stories about these two, or if someone would be interested in makeing the other armour, they are more than welcome to do it.

i have made a slight alteration to my own armour, in that there are now plates on the back of the palm, but stil nothing on the fingers in this variation. i like it and think it will make its way into the final build (if i ever get a chance to do any)

its depressing how much worki have yet to dom and yet i have no space to work on it, no materials to do any progress, and no time to do anything. all i can do is draw pictures of what i think it will look like, and its making me more depressed 'cos i want to see it physically, but cant do anything about it! life sucks!

I know what you mean Vod, I use my trash cans as a work bench along with the top of the trunk of my car.

I only got a chance today to put a little fiberglass on the mandables for reinforcement.

This one only has a little fiberglass in important places so it wont be so thick.

You can do it, just do what you can when you can. Any progress is better than none at all.

I'm in pretty much the same situation but we must stay strong! We will get them finished. Your armour is going to be amazing when it's done.

i decided today, i have far too much stuff on leading up to easter, so im putting everything on hold, (except for more concept pics) and once easter weekend is out of the way, im restarting the helmet from scratch. still keeping the design ideas (the ear that everyone seems to like. the scout trooper hood, the fin) but i realised that when i fiberglassed it, i didnt add the layer of filler on top to smooth it out. (recomended in the instructions!)
so i am going to start it again, and take my time with it.

just to keep you happy, (as ive not made any physical progress with armour) i did draw a completely new character using a modified clone helmet and mando armour, and a little artisitc licence. if anybody would like to try and make it, they can with my blessing. but it must have the reek clan emblem somewhere!

I LOVE the BOW, that's a KILLER IDEA, talk about silent assassin.

hey guys. long time no post i know. i'm sorry. been a rough couple of months and had no luck with progress or money or time. things not been too good round here, but thought id just maybe post another concept idea. still trying to get "Kyr'am" built, but also expanding on the "Reek clan" members. you guys have already seen the twi'lek lady and the bowman, but today i had an idea for a tracker mando. hope you guys like it, and will try and make some progress.

I like it, especially the scratches on the bucket, like mine and A'den, well more like A'den, mine are single scratches running different directions, while yours and A'den are in group of 3, going single direction.

So, making a bucket like this one should be easy for you.

it will be when its done! the summer deadline has seemed to have passed and im totally p*ssed off about it. but i guess if i can get both new helms done by the end of the year ill be happy, and maybe some work on "Kyr'am"'s backpack would be good.

started on the domes for both helms today. only the basic shape formers, but doing both at the same time is slow but also fullfiling!

no worries, go ahead. its more of a western style coat than a robe, like old gunslingers used to have. i dont mind if you want to use any of my ideas. go for it. you'd probably make a better job of it than me anyway

I've been looking through this forum for a week or so and I got the impression this was a friendly place . . . then I read this thread and all I can say is WOW these people sure do make you work hard

But I guess all this slave driving has resulted in some cool armor. I particularly like the bucket with the visor. . .kind of scout trooper-mando hybrid, nice.

its actually a concept i saw a picture of which was a commander cody mando mix. it looked sooo awesome i decided to try it. hopefully i can make the armour look as good in reality (when i eventually finish it)

well here is the start of both dome sections.
the tracker mando will have a sort of lobster tail armoured back to it, and the Kyr'am helmet has the fin but with a new redesigned vent system look under it.

hey again. just a short note to say ive started a new threat after taking far too long off the project. reverted back to the original Kyr'am idea,with an altered helmet. hope boomer aint too pissed with me and cracks out the whip again
