Krayt Dragon Helmet Underway!

Well, I've been working on the Krayt Dragon helmet from Saz for the last couple days. I started off by adding my greeblies, custom keyslots, custom ear caps etc. Then I made my cut outs and backfilled with Bondo and Glazing Putty. Today I finished the sanding, masked off the Krayt Dragon and have started painting. So,here it is so far...
Raw helmet:

I'llput onemore bronze coat on today. Tomorrow I'llwetsand the bronze and mask off the key slotsand earcaps. Then I'll paint layer after layer, wetsanding between each. Once all the under coats are on, I'll get the top colors on, do the detail work etc. I'll keep posting daily progress.

Kandosii ner'vod! I wonder if I could do that with mine...

Well keep us going with updates vod. You are doing really good.

Well, the paint and weather cooperated today! Here is what I got done today...
Red coat,wet sanded:

Yellow coat, wet sanded:

Green coat,wet sanded:

Gray coat, wet sanded:

Forgot to take a pick of the black coat,my bad.
After the black coat was on, not wet sanded, I spot applied 2 coats of the OD green:

Tomorrow I'll mask it off and get the red brown and the matte brown down.

Ad'ika I think the gold leaf would look great on yours, just don't make it a color u don't already have armor for! lmao

Gold leafing will look great! i was tossed between aged ivory with jeweked eyes, which i ultimatly went with, or painting it to look like a krayt dragon hatchling.

the screen mesh in the vets is just window screen mesh doubled layered. the top layer is painted the same brown as the upper cheek and the underlayer is the typical dark grey color it comes.

Don't get me wrong ,it looks awesome and its a brilliant Idea,
it kinda reminds me of the Predator from AVP 2,wich infact is realy cool ^^
but that helmet you made is far beyond awesome !
