Kal's Custom Mando

@Ad'ika: yeah I know... just so proud of my post count now I had to make a comment.

@Jas'ika: yeah that's the upgrades that I'll be using that special buy'ce for! lol The problem is I'm not sure how I'm going to make the jump pack

thanks saber! they're kinda a special touch I added just because I wanted one of those buckets Jason was making! lol... still going to be using my special build from A'd'ika as my primary tho, since it's being custom built to my specs

so I'm trying to work up the knee and shin armor for my armor... I need some help finding the right pattern and materials. So...

1. ANYONE, can somebody please help me find the templates for the Halo3 ODST shin armor. I also need templates for the DC-15A to work on.

2. I have plenty of cardboard to build the shins/knees and footplates but... I need to know what the resin is that I've been seeing A'd'ika and a few others talk about.

3. Like I said, I have plenty of cardboard, so I'm going to start rebuilding my gaunts... any advice would be helpful, especially with the attaching of the hinges and with making the pred claws.

1. H3 ODST is somewhere in here I think...
Pepakura File Index

2. Resin:
Go to wally world and ask for fibreglass resin. should be in a green...or white and red...rectangular can...like this:

3. I have no idea...

Are you talking something like this?

Then I would say make the top half like a soccer shin pad, then put the blade housing on top and glue into place with hot glue. Then put the side fins on from front to back and the fourth fin looks attached to the top box.

Bondo and glass, smooth it all off, add your greeblies and blade and you're away.

To attach the hinges try rivets.

@A'den: thanks ner vod! I'll start working on my leg/cod/gaunts this week

@Saz: yeah Saz that's kinda what I'm goin' for... I'm hoping to split the blades one to each side of the trishot on my left gaunt... I'm left handed so most of my accuracy/muscle control requiring weaposn are going on that side. Thanks for the help! I appreiciate it I'll be working on the blades shortly.

OK Next question... is the resin in liquid form or is it a paste/goop like the bondo glass was? More importantly right now tho... what program am I supposed to use to open those .pdo files? NEVERMIND... I found the program thanks to google! lol

okay printed the templates on standard paper... I'm going to be cuttin' the templates out and stickin' 'em to some cardboard and get the pieces cut out to build up. Also, I have all the parts now to get my M4-esque rifle put together... just need to get the dremel out and get to work I guess.
