That is looking good. JK3 did come up with some great idea to complete (as if any of us ever finish :) ) his Jodo. It's nice to see his tutorials were helpful. Keep up the good work.

Old thread bump. :wacko I started weathing a peice of scrap sintra a diffrent way to see if I should change weathering methods. (And scale back the weathering itself.)

I added the black today, and I'm calling it finished for now. The silver must not of been dried all the way when I applied the mustard or it wears off EXTREMLY easy, etc. because when I pulled the mask off, the silver got all over my fingers and was wet enough to leave smear masks where my finger was peeling the mask off at.

Other than that, I think it came out preety good for my first attempt. (Well, second if you count the peice that got taken away by the wind, LOL. :p) I based the weathering marks on some of the marks seen in this pic. I'll obviously forego the "zig zags", I just wanted to see what they'd look like, and if they'd even work in a design like that. :

I think there might be just a little bit to much black, but I'm happy with it. Considering its a test peice. :p

The armor peices have been laying around for way to long, and I'm going to try and make this a more on going project. I just got ASOK's Kast knees. :

I still need to buy/make :

Chest Diamond
Jet Pack
Helmet
Parts for one more Grenade (JK3 gave me two of his :) )
Stun Collar
Holster
White striped Grenades
New shoulders
Cod peice
Back plate
One of the belt accessories
Ammo belt
Rifle
Boots
Jumpsuit
Flak Vest

:wacko

I know I can do the belt accessory, the shoulders, the holster grenade, the striped grenade, and the stun collar myself. The other peices I'll hafe to buy.:facepalm

Thanks, hopefully it looks better than my V1 stuff. :p (I'll arrange it properly next time, sence the first in this thread pic. was taken. Some of the stuff is backwards.)

I need to try painting again, sealing each layer as I go, for whatever reason the sliver underneath is rubbing off still, and its dry. So I have no idea if its the paint or what. My sealers that I have here are supposedly flat, but the few times I've used them they turn out glossy, or they make the paint buckel.

Sounds to me like your surface needs to be buffed up a bit to accept the paint, or you are not using a primer.

Or I could be talking out of my bottom :)

Well see, I think it may of been a combination of a few things, my primer might be a little bit to old, and I didn't grit the armor at all. So on my next test, I might pick up a new primer, and a diffrent silver.

EDIT - Hey, you can see my toes in that pic. from '06.

Well, I got around to picking up a new primer, but the only kind stocked localy is automotive. So hopefully that'll be just fine.:wacko
