Jax Returns!

Stupid question: what's causing the sparks? As long as I've read about and admired your work, I don't think I've read about or remember seeing many posts about your bucket. Isn't it a Rubies Jango (this one, anyway)? I know all your torso armor (if I remember correctly) is metal, and I believe your greaves are Stormtrooper gear, right? We PM'd about them last year. I believe the construction of your helmet is before my time. Just wondering ...

rubies one peice jango

yes, coudl only find screws that were too long. i dont expect this helmet to outlast SDCC this year. I will have to replace it. the visor sits funny, and since it shattered just cant get it to sit right.

update:

a few of you know that i used to have this sniper rifle for this mando, pictured here in 2003, and 2004.

well, it broke sometime in late 04 i think and never really fixed it.

well tonight on a whim, while others were building TK's and force pikes, i slapped this together, and I'm quite happy with the result.

way to revive your old thread again, shame about what happened to the helmet last year.

the rifle looks great!

did you manage to finally get the helmet fully repaired?

yup. its up a few posts though. the "sparks" pics are me repairing it. it was used by me at the photoshoot last weekend.

it'll be at SDCC09 as it is every year (as will the other three mandos ive done). see you there!
