I really dig the "authentic" feel. It's not very often to run across a mando custom that could probably fit right in, quality wise, on one of the movie sets. Great job. I guess my only critique would be the pouches, I guess they kinda don't fit in, in my opinion (they kinda scream army surplus, ;p).

He removes the visor, paints the helmet, then puts a new visor in.

um no.
actually I blue taped the visor. but the one rubies i have which has been repainted in the "Shado" thread wasnt it it when i painted it. i only installed it after the fact. and the onyl way id ever replace this helmet is if i get a better version atr the same size. and i dont have issues now that i have a craft ring in it. never melted.

im making my own set but out of sintra as i dont have crazy metal skills like you hehe. any suggestions on how to weather and scar it "real" like yours?

anyway. yeah ill be there as will the other white female custom i built.
its an older picture and ther eis no leg armor on Shado, but it'll do.
and as far as i'm concerned there is one maybe two other customs that i think are of severa high quality. Toms and Ray's. So get your custom butts to SDCC and prove me wrong!

what mats did you use for the vest? im slowly aquiring all peices needed, so ill be able to start paint fairly soon. My damn spiral saw bit broke though so i need to go find another one =(.....
