    I'm Back!

Hey everybody, sorry to introduce myself and then disappear for a while, but now that my trip to Chile and Christmas are out of the way... and I got my bucket in the mail. I hope to get some work done on my custom this weekend weather permitting. Glad to be back and hope all had a good holiday!

    Re: I'm Back!

As promised here are some pics of my bucket... As a disclaimer I am going to throw out there that this was a standard rubies and I know my dome looks rough I actually planeed it that way to try and make it look more beat up so tell me if you think it does or not. As always any input is greatly appreciated.

    Re: I'm Back!

Thanks for the kudos Setra. Here are some pics of my bucket all painted up. I still need to pad the inside and someday maybe squeeze in a fan.

Come the first of the month here I will have some extra cash and I am hoping to find some armor and maybe a vest. I'll keep posted here.

dude. im pretty sure you got the stalk backwords, the long silver pice of the top of the stalk, it should point to the front.

It probably is backwards but thats the way it was made, came outta the box that way. But good observation.

Lookin' good. I like the paint scheme. If you can you might wanna reverse the RF stalk and cut out your key slots in the back.

    Re: I'm Back!

Thanks guys, I thought about trying to turn the rf stalk around but the massive amounts of bondo and the way the rf was made it wouldn't work. And I am wanting to cut out the key slots but I want to get a fan kit and some porch screen to put as a backing, make it look kind of like there is a filter or something similar. and more updates soon.

    Re: I'm Back!

Well guys slight delay... new tires ain't cheap... but I did manage to make myself some trash can armor that I want to try and use the infamous bondoglass on (got the idea from someone else on here, don't remember who, I was at work at the time) and then today at Wally World and found this http://hasbro.com/default.cfm?page=b...oduct_id=20982 I think it could turn out to be a cool little carbine for my custom I should be back in action next weekend and will post more then.

dude for the range finder, just cut it off flush to whare the vertical, and horizontal silver piece meet's . then, drill a little hole to the stalk and to the rangefinder , tri to look for a small plactic stick , like a qtip one, and crazy glueit , i did that whith my rainge finder, wish i made out of carton because the dp one was to small, about the plastic stick ...thats just to reanforcet, im sure just the crazy glue is good.

    Re: I'm Back!

That was the first helmet that I ever worked on... I ended up cutting out a wooden RF post, and just gluing straight to the side of the helmet under the ear cap.

It looks crazy long in the pic, but from the front it was just right. And yes, I know, that was a terrible color choice for Boba's right ear... lol...
