hey every body long time no see. Trying to find a holster

Some things can't be avoided, but if it's going to be a sidearm, it should be safe. I would recommend a strap that locks it in though.

I would put a strap around the slide that attaches below the trigger through the trigger guard. That way if someone tries to swipe it, you have a chance that the strap will get caught around the trigger.

No one will try to swipe your weapons. If they do, you will feel it.

I've been trooping for 2 years, 5 major Conventions, no public mishaps that couldn't be avoided.

I know that it HAS happened to some people. I believe someone tried to swip Othar's rocket from her JP a couple times at a con (Correct me if I'm wrong Othar, I thought I saw you post about that on HV&M). Now, It's never happened to me, but if you going to keep a prop in a very exposed setting then it's wise to err on the side of caution.

I've been to 2 majors and one minor con and it's never happened to me either, but I also take steps to ensure it won't happen. It can get crowded very easily, people are all around you, you get bumped into alot. Just don't wanna see someones work get trashed by some ******* punk at a con.

Not disrespecting your opinion at all Andy, just saying if your exposing props then atleast make sure that they are safe.

I know things have happened in the past, I just don't want people to be afraid of wearing their costumes that they worked so hard to build. Talk to some Scout Troopers about how they keep their blasters safe.

I am not really worried about it. It would be a 10 dollar piece of plastic. now if it was a really nice expensive replica yea I would be more cautious but I am not really worried..

on my TX (spec ops scout) i have an elastic strap thats permanently attached to the holster on my boot and just straps over the grip of my blaster. keeps it in there and id definately know if someone was tugging on it, ive done too many cons/events/promotions to count but its stayed in place even when in full sprint in armor like at C3.

It sounds like a BLACKHAWK Serpa CQC retention holster... u can pick up the "sporter" version at most hunting/sporting goods/shooting stores for around $30
