so I am thinking about changing up my custom mando a little with a new side arm and I am going to go with an airsoft pistol modded a little. What I am trying to find is a particular holster. it is a tactical holster and the side arm just kinda locks in place indoesnt slide into a traditional holster. If any body knows WHAT I am talking about and knows where I can find one just let me know....

Ive sen some speed holsters for shooting competitions that only cover the tip of the barrell and lock in somewhere. Have no idea who makes them. What type of airsoft pistol are you going to use? Fobus makes an all black plastic holster, no straps or snaps. It just locks in. It's made of plastic, you could probably mod it a little.

Here's one of my off duty holsters made for the compact Glock 23 /40 cal.

Are you possibly thinking of Blackhawk's SERPA holsters? It sounds like either the SERPA or the style of holster that Craig has shown. It may be rather difficult to find an appropriate holster as well depending on your modifications.

I had to look that up, I've never heard of those. Then I saw it. Our detectives and admin are issued those for our H&K UPS 45. One drawback, they have to take the tac-light off. I'd bet those Fobus are cheaper. I think I paid $20 for that from Galls.

Its weird I tells ya!

Before I go on, all respect to Jango 5204 & others, and this isn't a complaint or gripe or anything.....

Just weird to see guns, holsters & such stuff, and talk of purchasing these items.
None of that here in Australia.

No real guns or even replicas here in Australia unless you have a license. To get a license you'll need to be a Cop, Farmer, Security or Gun Club Member (weapons stay at the club).

So from a prop point of view this totally blows, no Real or Prop Webley for me.

What do you do with your Jango costume? :facepalm or what does the Terror Australis Garrison do about trooping?

Jango blasters are far enough from a real gun to just make it in the post, sometimes. I have heard many stories of Blaster props being stopped at customs.
You can find old casts of Webleys in Australia, but I'm yet to see a real good one up close.

actually what Jango mentioned (speed holster) is exactly what I was talking about but I did not realize how expensive they are.... So that may have to be a big no and Iwil have to go with a regular tactical holster LOL.

I guess I could try that huh would be my first scratch build with any type of plastic...
If you can give me the dimensions of the gun, I could design a holster for you and mail you templates to use to cut :) If you don't feel comfortable building it yourself, I can do it for ya :D

You will definitely have to make a custom holster if you plan on using either of those as your sidearm. Unless you look into a few of the soft shell holsters.

So I was thinking about this the frame could incompass the fire arm kinda like what robo cop has (the part the slides out) but then I can install some rare earth magnets in the side arm and holster. What do you think?

I would say just watch how much of it you have exposed and how easily accessible it is. It's not uncommon for someone to try to rip things off your costume at a con, especially if they see they can get away with it.
