Help with a poncho

Bobby Fett UK

I am putting together a Super Commando and would like to use a poncho, next to cutting a hole in the center of a blanket my poncho manufacturing know how is nonexistent, can any body help me out here?

I have seen an awesome looking one on a Mando named Beviin Verayc, that is the kinda thing I had in mind.

Congrats, you figured out how to make a poncho.

Yeah, it really is that easy. Just remember to hem the edges of the hole so they don't fray.

Well if he is a super commando and wants a lived in look, maby he shouldn't hem up the edges or the neck hole.. Just my two cents.

I don't mind the fraying. I assume then you just toss one corner over your shoulder to reveal your amour, don't want that hard work go to waste!

Cheers guys.

Yeah...that's pretty much how those work.
Throw it over one shoulder to reveal armor/holsters, ala Clint Eastwood. The hand rolled cigarillo is optional.

More constructively, I seem to recall a concept drawing of Boba doing precisely that. It was just a line drawing, but it had Boba when he had a poncho instead of a cape, using one arm to hold the poncho out of the way to hold up a blaster or something.

A good place to get blankets for this would be sportsmansguide.com, and look for military surplus blankets. They are nice quality, have the 'lived in' look, and come cheap enough you won't want to kick yourself for cutting them up.

Do we know if anyone around on the boards has made the Jango poncho? I would be sure to use a thicker material on the poncho. You want it to billow, but not flow way too easily. The cotton twill should work well, what about using burlap?

I was thinking Canvas, but when it's new it's quite stiff. As long as you wear it out, wash it well, maybe with some fabric softener, it should work.
