Then I guess the author isn't up on Mandalorian history. (sorry for the derailment also =D)

All the Lucasfilm reference publications mention his armor is made from Durasteel. Anyway, love the new pics Pesh! The helmet is looking fantastic.

According to this article, Fett didn't use Mandalorian Iron in his suit.

I love how LFL and authors keep continuity so well.

    LFL licensed authors say Beskar.

    LFL says Durasteel.

SWG licensed by LAE says Alum.

    Lol

    Maybe it's just Bobas...who knows =D

Yeah, I revised my post. Fett didn't use real Mandalorian Iron in his armor. He wore the el-cheapo "Made in Taiwan" brand =D

OK, initial work on the amour has been... initiated...

Again, these are first time around test pieces, I like making changes so please; suggestions welcome.

Also note: All the cuts, dents and scoring on the armour are actually there and not just painted (it's a bit hard to tell from the pictures admittedly)

Armour (shoulders are done too, forgot to take pictures though whoops)

    Collar

Left (should I put a proper decal here?... I quite like it)

Right (thinking about burning some of the lights, dont really want to though...)

    Kidney

I have a vest now as well which I have to work out how to 'damage'...
Back piece and cod coming soon...

If your going to burn the lights...I would go with maybe putting together your own board instead of ruining the one you have now.

Other then that you have really outdone yourself on this project! Looks awesome.

    It's coming along really nicely.

I would suggest adding the yellow to the armor to show the under coats of paint as seen on the original suit. Also to add the same effect, add the gray and dark red paint bits on the helmet.

    Keep up the good work.

Lookin good, it looks like **** (in a good way, not bashing). You may want to go over it with a wash of dirty craptastic-ness if you havent already.
What is your armor made from?

You'll also need to add the existing dings in the ROTJ armor (besides the yellow as mentioned before)....collar, left chestplate, ab plate, etc. Those parts are not all flat, but actually indented in certain spots.

    Cheers people,
Yeah Clayster, I know what you meant And the armour (mine not Fett's) is made of Sintra. The correct dents and yellow paint still need to be added (as does some more work on the helmet which I've already started) as before mentioned, I have a weird way of working, i.e. in reverse...

Well, I'm off to get some real paints... can't use rattle cans for everything.

That looks great! I like how the left chest piece has the burn mark. (Like a model rocket took off his boob!). Only problem I have is that the green seems a bit too dark, but your going to change it all anyways, so great v1.0! Good luck on the other painting and armor parts. I would consider burning the vest, but thats up to you. Good luck! This blows me away, seriously.

    Updates coming...

Helmet has been retouched and I'm happy with it (variation on Reds mostly)

Askywalker, the green isn't really that dark, I had to choose between the w/flash picture (all detail washed out) or the artificial light photo (Colours are way off.) I'll try to take some better ones during daylight for the next update.

    Thanks people.
