Has anyone allready done this helmet idea?

resurrecting an old topic here... was any more progress made? i love the idea! one thing to consider on the armor... where there are existing deep scratches and dents, it's quite likely the acid would have eaten all the way through creating holes in the armor.

i'd love to see this completed!

I just found this thread and I have to say that I'm very impressed by what you've done, the armor looks seriously thrashed and quite realistically so too. One thing that you might want to consider to give the whole thing that been through Hell look would be to crack part of the visor so that maybe one eye is showing. You could probably achieve that look by carefully shooting at the plexi (or whatever you'll be using) with either BBs or an airsoft gun in the same general region.

As far as weathering your flightsuit and vest I suggest paintballing, let it sit and don't wash it so that the dirt and the paint really settle in. Just go and let yourself get hit, roll around in the dirt a good bit and just go for it. Then go and have lunch or dinner with it on and don't worry about being too neat about it and spill food and drink all over yourself and that should stain and weather things pretty nicely. The only thing is that I'm not sure how well you could keep any of it from washing off and from stinking though it might help to just soak it in water instead of actually washing to help keep as much of the grime and stains on as possible.

Wow I mean really WOW! so far things are looking well on their way to being a hall-of-fame costume! Watch out Lucas Arts might try to but it off of you for some hefty coin!

You guys realize that posh hasn't posted any new updates on this thread for a year and a half? It was a cool idea, and maybe someone may resurrect it and try it, but his last post was July, 2007

To answer your question about the post Sarlac Fett. None of the comic books had Boba in any diffrent armor then he was seen in the movies. More or less I think they assumed Boba had multiple sets of armor, so the set ruined by the Sarlac would of been discarded. So blame lazy artist, but the only comic that had grown up Boba in anything besides his regular looking armor was Twin Engines of Destruction. And that just had Fett walking around in cloths all bandaged up.

So I guess the good news is you can go as wild as you want, just won't have an pre published references

in The Mandalorian Armor, it says that Fett's helmet was the only piece of his armor that was still usable. it also specifies that he had at least one more set of armor in a weapons-and-supplies cache in some locked down cave on Tatooine that he used for his employment by Jabba the Hutt. how i do still like the idea. but i think your left ear should be silver because his ROTJ helmet ears are...

Even with the stash the idea still works because you could always say that you're Boba right after he escaped from the Sarlacc, before he got to his stash and replaced his gear.

not neccesarily naked but he was bleeding out onto the sand,i do believe that his back plate was missing,i think he coulld feel the sand on his back but i think some of the other plates were still there, and either way we may never know for sure but its still a really kool idea

oh,. it's definitely a cool idea. i like to think my bucket is a post sarlacc Fett helmet since it's a not-so-accurate ROTJ attempt paintjob i did myself, but not right after the sarlacc more like EU Fett helmet.

Absolutly, I thought I'd resurrect this thread incase Pesh is still around. Hoping that it's been finished!

love the concept and the paintjob! just one lil idea that you or somebody else might have already come up with. possibly breaking or "burning" away a part of the visor glass to expose maybe one eye or a part of the lower jaw. maybe paint some fine, spiderweb scratches? :confused

just throwing it out there. i have not seen a damaged visor glass yet. just thought that might be cool. im considering putting a "bullet/blaster hole" in my visor to expose small, tiny portion of my face (showing only my left eye). it kinda takes a away from the "whos behind the mask" appeal. just throwing it out there. ;)

great job! cant wait to see the final product!

and for halloween you could always go as a zombie boba!! :p j/k

Y'know, life is strange. For reasons that are my own, I drifted away from this forum and forgot about this project of mine entirely. I don't know why exactly I decided to visit again, but I'm glad I did. The work being done by you people is amazing and I feel inspired! Sarlacc Fett v.2 will begin very soon.

EDIT: Also, I forgot to mention that seeing interest in my thread over a year after my abandonment of it is very touching. :)
