Are you looking for guns for Custom Mando? Or for Boba/Jango?
If it is custon, you can go the airsoft gun route, which you can find at Walmart and sporting good stores. Also, some Nerf Guns do look good repainted and used in custom.
If it is Boba/Jango, really the only way to get those, is to look for someone who makes kits.
I want it for my custom mando. But at walmart they dont sell what i want. If any one can find some good mechine guns, handguns, and gernade launcher that would be cool.
You could make a run of guns
What some people do, is take a regular gun, like a BB gun and use the grip and cover the chamber and barrel with a piece of tubing to replicate the Webely. I'm sure you could get a basic gun, and mod it to get closer to what you want. Look on Ebay, there are plenty of guns there.
Ya but I need some cheap ones because I dont have that much money.
Making any kind of mandalorian costume isnt cheap. You're on the wrong boards if you are looking for a costume for under $2000.
I made my blaster out of an airsoft pistol and some parts from a hardware store...
Even a custom mando will cost a few hundred.
Estimate...
$100 a helmet
$25-50 for buckets to make armor
$20 or so for paint
$50 jumpsuit
$20 velcro
$50-100 on blaster
You can make a decent custom mando for about $300-500. Really good for $500-1000.
I would say check Scratchbuilt threads all over the boards to see how people make them and how much it can cost ya.
My bad, I'll re-word *most* good Fett costumes cost quite a bit of cash. I know it can be done cheaper for those that have the ability and the skills to scratch build their own armor and soft parts. A majority though do not have the skills and therefore have to pay top dollar for the items and talents of our fellow TDH'ers.
Is it me, or does all of Lizards threads seem to be baiting with ridicules and bogus questions??
I know you say you're only 14 years old, but shouldn't you be in School??
And in one thread you're asking what a "Mando" is?? Then in the very next thread you're showing off your "Mando" armor??????
And now you want to sell stuff in the Cargo hold "cause you want to make money too like everyone else"....?? huh??
Is it just me??????>:
Nope... It isn't you... There are several of us who have noticed some rather peculiar things...
I can say so much but I dont want to waste my time about this. He needs to be a little more mature about this, and becuase of it, its seriously backlashing against him. I dont think he understands.

I tend to agree with Spidey, really not sure how to take you Lizard. I fell that I am quite tolerant but when I see your name on a thread I tend to think "Oh God what now!!!"
Okay good...I thought it was just me for a sec...:b
ok, it dosnet bother me when you insult me. Im just trying to figure some things out. I want to make a costume so I can be proud if it. Ive started to enjoy making my mando more and more , but none of you guys can seem to get it through your heads. Im not being rude to any one but everyone insults me. Is there something about me that funny or something because guys will never stop and let me speak.
costume = money\skills
lizard = no money\no skills
Nobody is being rude, just honest. Read the threads and look at pictures before asking dumb questions and don't try to sell garbage to members.
Well if you're being serious about wanting to make a costume... You're 14 don't you have some old water guns or nerf guns lying around? Just use those with a coat of black spraypaint applied to them, and glue greeblies to them to make them all "scifi" or whatever.
Have you tried doing a search on it? Lots of post come up.
What are they? Well you should really use the search tool, but since you're a total newbie I'll tell you, this once!
Greeblies are small details that you find or make that you think might look good on a prop.(or anything you're making for that matter)
I've been thinkin' troll as well. Reminiscent of a past troll who wanted us all to build functional armor and weapons and join his "Mandalorian Nation" so he could be the High Clam Lord.;)
Lizard, TDH has been around for over 5 years. More than likely, the answer to your questions have been answered somewhere. Just use the search option.
Now having said that, when you do find the answer ... PLEASE DON'T POST IN THE THREAD IF IT'S OLD!!!
Lizard- while some have been a little kinder than others in what they have said, the problem is that you first came on wanting to buy parts for your costume, then you wanted to learn how to make them, then suddenly you were wanting to sell items that you hadn't even made yet. It all seems a bit suspicious to the members around here. If you truly are wanting to build a costume, then I know that it can be really exciting and you want to find out everything at once but folks will be a lot more helpful if you first do your research. That means using the search function at the top of the page between the link for latest threads and quick links. You can just type in a keyword, like greeblie, and it will bring up all the threads that have that word in it. I know you said you are young, I know you said you have very little money. While it is still very possible to build a costume, it is going to take a lot of time, patience and effort on your part. You won't be able to just make a post like I want to build a helmet" and expect someone to tell you step by step how to do it. That is where you are going to have to really put forth the effort to help yourself and figure out how to do it by doing your research. This thread here is a perfect example. You say you want guns, but you don't tell us what kind of guns, or what you want them to look like or what kind of a budget you have. I mean, when you only have so much money, then you are going to have to settle for what you can afford, that means probably going to Wal Mart and buying a water gun and maybe painting it up and adding some stuff onto it to make it look good. The other thing is that, while not everyone, but a good bit of the people here are looking to make a very screen accurate costume, not a very inexpensive made up character costume. So again, you will find it difficult to get the answers that you want as many of the folks here are accustomed to spending a lot of money to build their costume right and make it look the best it can. You are going to have to use your creativity and imagination to do what you want. My suggestion would be to do a lot more reading and studying and less posting and see if this is something that you really want to do and can do. I wish you the best.
lizard= mando??
I put him in the same category as mando.
For one thing, when people give advise here or share opinions on someones piece, they're usually thanked for their honesty and opinion. you haven't done anything but complain about it. You're not the best so stop acting like you got something on the rest of us. Not one person here will tell you that they are the best but that is a title that everyone else will claim a person is.
Wow,
Mirax's post was the nicest, most polite bonk on the head I've ever read. :lol :thumbsup
mirax said it really well, but i think it bears repeating. a LOT of making a costume is doing research. yeah, this is your first time trying to make a helmet. but try to remember that this is a large group, and the folks that have been here for a while have seen "how do i build a helmet" more times than we'd like to think about ;)
just about any question you could possibly ask has been answered dozens of times before.
i think that before people open up their arms to someone new, they like to see that the new person has done his/her homework and is serious about the project.
this is why i really like the new title on the forum: boba & jango elite costuming forums. this board is, in my eyes as a member, all about making the best possible fett costume. and that means pouring your time, energy and money into something that is as near perfect as you can get.
so i think people will treat you much better if before you ask a question, you do a search and see if there's an answer.
ok thank you all for your advise. I know I have to research more bu im just to excited and I want to make one now. Sorry for my post earlier I was a little grumpy, I just woke up and wanted to check it.
A fairly easy and inexpensive gun to modify into a decent blaster is the Nerf Night finder. It retails for about $6

Here are couple that have been modified.

A greeblie can be just about anything.
Here is a pic of mine in progress. You can see a couple of the things i used to modify it such as some washers. A couple PVC connectors for a barrel and an old aluminum paint ball barrel cut down for the mini grenade launcher underneath.

Hope that helps some. :)
That is actually a good point. Moving thread over to the Dented Variants.
nerf guns are a great base to start with.
airsoft guns on ebay are also really cheap... just watch out for shipping! some of them will be $10 with $25 shipping.
just search ebay for airsoft and you'll see a million of them.
Lizard as most other members of this forum have mentioned it is hard to take you seriously. First-spelling- most programs have a spell checker ,so please use it.
Next I really don't think you are a "troll", I consider you probably to be the head of the Intelligence Unit for "The Republic" sent to learn our mandalorian secrets. Now go tell Master Skywalker you have failed, and need more meditation and light saber training and must be returned to the Jedi Forums before the "darkside" has a further influence over you.

I hate using/seeing nerf guns. Especially the long-shot.
I use the RFT Nerf, and that is at least Star Wars.
The long-shot just looks like a BFG from Earth, if done right.
Here are some of my pics from the gun I used....

Ok,
You get the idea...Anything can be modified.
:jodo
Ok, this is my first post (as far as i can remember), since joining a while ago, and I don't want to waste it...
But little dollars simply means you need to put in a load of research. An hour of research will save you 5, in my opinion! And you need not go any further than the boards you're already on!
I've never needed to begin a thread because well...everything i've wanted to ask has alreday been asked a minimum of 5 times. Search function works, and there are plenty (hundreds!) of talented people on this board willing to offer templates, step by step tutorials with pictures, and some ingenius ideas on how to make something out of 'seemingly' nothing (trashcan armour? BRILLIANT!)
So i suggest that the time spent going back and forth with comments and questions might have been spent more wisely on search/research. You'd be well underway by now, equipped with all the answers you were seeking. And with less abuse.
ps...love the TDH and the TDH will love you!

talk about digging up an old thread^ 2007??? haha
