ok any tips on boot spats? (I think I'm going to make some just to be on the safe side)

hey can either be a cloth (a bit like a sock with holes cut for the heel and toe but don't use an actual sock :) ) or you can use armour to cover it.

Question with NERF guns how do you get the logo and "Model" name off paint or file? (or both)

fyi it's a "Maverick"

You sand it off or cover it up.

My first impressions is that you have lots of ideas and it's obvious you have a lot of enthusiasm for this project which is awesome!

What I would counsel you against is using all of your ideas, 3 westars, 3 lightsabers and all your trinkets will mean you will probably have a hard time moving around in your armour. Currently it feels like you're trying to pack all the things you think are cool into one super cool mando, when in reality Mandos are super cool anyway :)

What I'd suggest you do is make your basic kit to the Mercs CRLs and then look afterwards for decoration as you then have the maximum movement allowance for the armour (The belly plate and the cod being typical bending restrictors) which will help you guage if 3 guns, 3 lightsabers and a mountain of knives will restrict you any further.

Apart from that, it's great that you have it all planned out, as I mentioned, practicality may put paid to some of the ideas, but you appear to have a clear vision of the basics and that will help you massively in your build.

thanks for the tip Saz (I've actually been looking into that these past weeks) I did another sketch to get a general Idea how much I could have, but everything is at a standstill right now do to me preforming in "Footloose" at the Muny :D

don't forget to call and thank Kenny Loggins, cuz you're in the DANGER ZONE!!!

I now dedicate my armor to a friend and fellow star wars fan, and theater kid
Jessica Brinker
who was killed yesterday in the accident involving the two school buses, the pickup truck, and a semi. on I-44 in Missouri near Grey Summit
the pick up hit the semi and the first bus sandwiched the pickup killing the driver, then the second bus hit the first onto the semi and folding the truck in half, Jessica was in the back of the first bus

miss you and love you ad'ika

(I'm not sure if this is allowed but keep the family in your prayers :'( )

thanks guys

I finally got started again, (no pics or vids yet)

re cut my kad making it more Mando and slightly bigger and I like it,

trying to find out how to cut my knife, and I need suggestions on how to cut out/shape a backplate,

I'll probably buy a buy'ce so I'll need help with sizing and references on reliable suppliers

A friend also read my story I wrote and made a necklace (which I hadn't gotten around to making) that was given to Vor by a woman he loved just before she returned to the order leaving Vor behind to remain a Mandalorian.
I like it it's just the right twist to know it's a girl's given to a guy to remeber her

Silver filigree and saphire gem on a silver chain (silver wire, a aqarium pebble, and a necklace latch chain)
and it looks pretty darn good

and In memory of Jessica I'm going to take a diamond chest piece and color it in her favorite colors (because Mandalorians take a piece of armor in memory of their lost family and friends)

PS
suggestions on Gaunts and cod piece would be great as well (I didn't like how the first cod piece turned out)
