I love that Mando design. The clone/mando helmet really works and the lower half of the costume, the boots and those big pouches strapped to your thighs go with the whole look too. They shouldn't but they do. Very nice going indeed

You know I love your work buddy! Your concepts are tip top! I love that you used the "Cody" visor in your Mando lid!

dude this is great! you did an awesome job on the Cody visor, its cool to see that it can be done and not clash with the rest of the helmet. very well done

I'm not into customs much BUT yours has a nice look...
Dirty up the red sash & cape to the same tone as your red pouch!

KEEP the pouches, they set your character apart.

You may need a cod plate to tighten up the whole suit.

Create a custom Rocketpack that is similar to Boba's. ALL mandos need a pack.
or they end up looking half done.

    looks great!

Not necessarily, I've seen some Mandos minus a pack and look amazing. The pack wouldn't have to be a rocket/jet pack either.

I agree with the comment regarding the pouches too. I like 'em.
  15. Oct 4, 2009, 10:12 AM - Re: Ge'tal Gra'tua (warning: pic intensive!) #15

    Mercke: Thanks!

Koolboarder4: The visor idea was inspired by LFL artist Jamie Snell. I asked his permission to try it on my bucket! Swell guy!

BloodyGrunt333: Paper (thick board), fiberglass resin and bondo. In that order!

Sixxgunn13: Got a codplate now! Also kept the pouches! Still missing the pack, though.

    Skupilkinson: Thanks, Skip!

Thanks for the comments, guys! Here's what I've been up to the last year...

Earlier this year, I had a solo costumes exhibition entitled "Resurrection III: Rise of the Mandalorians". I exhibitied 4 custom Mandalorian costumes during the exhibition and organised a casual photoshoot with the Rebel Legion Malaysia Outpost (in my capacity as the then Mandalorian Mercs Jebat Squad Leader). Here are some pics:

That's me in the green and my soulmate Ni'Sya in white. This is our second suits respectively.

A group pic with the rest of the team.

Next, the only Early / Sith Wars Era Mandalorian Crusader in Asia: Armata Vir (seen here with the lovely Poison Ivy). This costume was debuted during Movie Carnival 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

This is me presenting a props workshop (not a political rally!)

Here's a suit I made for a vod in the Mercs:

This was taken during the Smart Art & Science Carnival at the Tuanku Fauziah Museum & Gallery, USM Penang:

    The Penang Astronomy Convention:

Last but not least, my sweetheart's latest armor, the Firebug:

I hope these pics justified my disappearance for the past year. My apologies for being absent from this community...

    You've been very busy vod!

I like your "sweethearts" armor very much! I've always been a fan of the white and orange color combo.

I think your silence over the past year is justified.

Thank you, ner vod! I'll make sure to post up more on this board for my next projects!

BTW, here's a concept of my next (prequel, if you may) armor, the one that Ge'tal wore during the Gali'draan conflict:

very nice ner vod... I've seen your work before, always been impressed by it! I even follow you over on DeviantArt!
  20. Oct 4, 2009, 11:03 PM - Re: Ge'tal Gra'tua #20

    Thanks, Skip! Here's the spear:

It's now got a red piece of cloth tied to the shaft, just below the leather wrap.

    Kal'ika: So it IS you!

Here's the beginnings of the new armor. It's thin aluminum sheeting that I intend to back up with fiberglass.

And last but not least, my favourite blaster (bottom):
