Gen Con 2011!

To celebrate the completion of my first set of beskar'gam I decided it would be awesome if I showed it off at a convention. Gen Con was right around the corner and I jumped on the opportunity. I had a fantastic time trooping with other Mando's from the Mercs!

After like an hour of walking around my dad and I finally found the other Mandos! We got ambushed by people with cameras.

We made that kid really happy.

It's hard to see but we went up the escalator just to go down it again for a great shot.









As we came down the escalator we spotted a group of Jedi. We had to go attack them.






We wandered over to some clone troopers and a little Boba. He was so cute!

And I had to get a picture next to the TARDIS replica.

No unfortunately I'm not getting anything done... I'm ummm... shall we say overseas on a business trip right now. A really, REALLY long business trip.

Orde, I think I saw some pics of you 4 at a convention on the web the other day. I recognised the purple and white of the helm. I cant remember which one, but when I do I will shoot you the link.

Yup, I'm still around. I'm working on getting the work done tho! Even tho I'm having to contract it out a bit here and there.

Ordeyn Gen Con looked like a lot of fun. First year in a while that I did not get to go. I hope Togo next year in full gear.

It'd be awesome to see you there! I don't know if I will go next year because I'd like to go to Celebration VI. I'd like to do both but I don't know if I'll be able to.

I'm hoping to make CVI but... due to work I don't know if it's going to be possible.

bah hah hah, you're a laugh a minute ner vod. Yeah, once mine's done I get to start on Fi's! lol that one will definately move a little quicker tho. I'm just struggling through with mine because it's the first one I guess. Hers will be a simple matter of ordering a manequin, a helmet and building the gaunts and such. We're both going with light kits to start and probably upgrading to a medium kit.

Just noticed I put "can" instead of "can't" ... whoops, fixed that.

Yeah, the first set is really working out the kinks and learning stuff -- I've definitely learned that. I'm looking forward to seeing both of yall's kits done.
