More updates tomorrow.
I do final paintjob and add some stuff with a final fitting before con.
2 DAY?!?! wow...That is like two weeks of work for me! Looks awesome!!! I like the toothed edges of the plates!
I cant tell from the picture; what type of helmet is that?
Looking badshabs Frac! love the custom plates.
It's actually a scratchbuild helmet.
I have a million little things on my costume to finish, butI will be wearing it to con.
I am helping with the trivia at 2-3 on sunday, so come!!!!!
It should be awesome.
Man, that's a lot of work! You should do a tutorial or something.
You obviously have way too much time on your hands; can I borrow some?
Seriously though man that's really sweet! I love the blasters and the paint job. Kandosi!
Thx guys!!!
I went to Con and need to work out some bugs. More velcro, more glue, a few extra straps and...... PRESTO!!!!! Ready for Con on Friday.
Didn't wear my helmet as I am retiring it.
Guess what!!!!! I got interviewed by entertainment weekly and figures.com as well as a Japanese magazine!!!
I'll post a link to the story when it comes out.
More pics to come......
Here are some pics of me being interviewed by entertainment weekly.
Dude, seriously lucky. You gotta post the links to the interviews when they come out.
I know G4 is there, try to get on TV with them.
Will do, when and where are they going to be???

That's the link to one of the photo ops. Check it out.
I added to much padding to my bucket, and I had just fiberglassed it, so that was the only time I wore it that evening.
Here is the link from the EW interview!!!!!

I am in the first minute of it.
Sweet. congrats man.
Thanks bro!!! I am winding out of custom mando for the time being, all I have left to do is build a helmetand make a mold of it, so I can make one whenever I want. Other than that, my next project is either a fullsize scout bile, or a skiff that works. (kinda)
More pics.
The one of me holding a sign in the air (last one) is the trivia panel that Dave Filoni hosted, and I helped with, I met the guy!!!
too bad your bucket wasn't ready huh? Next year vod![]()
Yeah... next year hopefully as either a fully-armored G.I.Joe or as a SUPER heavy mando.
Fun! Bet the interview was exciting.Nice armor, btw.
Thanks Ordeyn!!! Yeah the interview was fun, if I had known they were EW, I probably would have freaked out.I was being checked out by the channel 5 newscrew (local san diego) but they decided against an interview.
Very nice...
Can't believe ya got interviewed, even if they insulted you afterwards...
Your armor and helmet looked awesome.
Not much more I can add.
When did they insult me???
Uhh...
Not sure if this counts as an insult to you, as a lot of people take certain insults as compliments...
He called you a geek and nerd.
Oh yes, and I almost forgot, UNBELIEVABLY good armor, ner vod!
Thanks, and I think he was more insulting Comic-con, than me particularly.
It was a quick 3 hour job with some extra sintra lying around. tip to making armor..........
wait for it............ JIGSAW!!! :P
...or bandsaw...works great too!!!![]()
JIGSAW! CHAINSAW! BANDSAW!
VRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM *Squelch* RRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMMMmm.....The re! My new mando armor!
*Looks at misshappen lump of plastic*
''you sure that's armor, boy?''
''Nope, but what the heck, most people don't even know what mando armor looks like!''.
Sad, but very, very true.
Or was that very, very sad but true?
Or maybe very, very sadly true?
But now I'm rambling...sorry, all moderators!
Anyway, I'm thinking of just running around the neighborhood looking for sintra...
Though my dad thinks that I'm going to get some kind of disease *AGAIN* if I use any kind of chemical plastic.
And, ner vod, you can lie all you want about the 3 hour job, but I know it took longer than that.
NOBODY shapes and cuts out? and paints the armor in 3 hours.
So you can't fool me![]()

.
Not to mention sanding...
It's not that hard to do BlueJay. True it took me three days to shape and cut my armor peaces but in the long run it turned out really good. If one knows what they are doing then it can happen. A friend made a set of armor in 15 minutes. Really its not that hard.
Commander, that's either amazing or an extremely exaggerated lie...
You're using cardboard, though...he's using plastic.
I would not lie to anybody. In fact it took me at least twenty minutes to cut out my peaces of armor. But in those three day I was able to fold and fit the armor to my form. Now I have to add a smoother surface to the top of my armor so no cardboard lines would show through.
And it's not a lie BlueJay he told me himself through myspace.
I think he was being facetious.THanks for the comment, and actually, the whole build, helmet, guns, armor, paint, kama, holsters pistols and shins, took only about 7 hurs total, but that chaingun is the best thing I have created (next to my scratchbuilt E-11 of course. :P)
Hey; you did a great job. If I had the paint, padding, attaching material that I need then my armor would already be finished aside from the helmet. But all in all you did a great job. You must of taken a break as well during the painting stage of your armor as well.
Actually, during that I built the chain gun, and prepped the guns for painting.![]()
Bet that took a while..
I can cut and form armor in less than 3 hours, so it can be done.
I cut out 3 sets (kid size even) in like 3 hours, I did mess one plate up, but that's just battle damage. See my thread (from begining to see the armor plates)

...helmets are the time-takers.![]()
gotta be, they are the most complicated part.
Heh, mine still in cardboard form.![]()
me too.I glassed the inside for extra stregth, but its mostly a display prop now. :P
I'm thinking I might be lazy and just buy my first helmet, in factthat Krayt dragon bucket from Saz I'm in line for will almost assuredly be my first as i won't have time to make one tween now and when he has them ready, and I won't have any money to spare to buy one if I'm saving up for that beauty.
