first mando armor

hai yall
me and a couple friends are gonna make mandoarmor for Halloween this year, but none of us have any experience or knowledge working with Sintra, which we figured would be the easiest and cheapest. does any one have any tips that might help? especially about helmets, we don't want to buy helmets cause they are mostly too big and unpersonal.

thanks:)

judging from what i have seen on youtube and such it seems so.
what i am wondering about is how to connect to sheets of sintra to one another and how to connect them to the clothing underneath. i was thinking velcro-fastening (not sure if that is right, found it in a dictionary)

I've attached my sintra armour with velcro and it works well. Just make sure you use sew on velcro to the cloth side, and stick on to the armour. I've used stick on against both sides, and ended up having to have it stitched to the cloth as well.

Using velcro gives more flexibility that using snaps (or press stud type things), so it's more forgiving if you don't line it up properly

thanks a lot guys.
ill see if i can post some pictures of our progress, although at this stage we have just some basic shapes in cardboard

Ya Sintra as mentioned is very easy to use, just cut out, boil and mold to the shape desired. :) As for helmets, I'd still recommend grabbing a cheaper "mystery helmet" sence you've never worked with Sintra before. It'd proboly do the job just fine. :)

just wondering what kind of paint i should use on this plastic.

i was hoping to use normal spray cans, but some say that probably wont work

cool, ill see if i can find some, but i dont really know where to go looking because i dont know the norwegian name at the moment:facepalm

Norway is hopeless at some areas, had to drive an hour just to get the plastic
