Well I thought I would post pics of my Marrow Sun Jodo Bucket. Im still waiting on my new ear caps and rangefinder to get here, so I can put them on the bucket. I used an interesting method of painting this helmet. I used spray on the orange parts and the dome. but the cheek area was brushed on and the area below the cheek and the back of the helmet were Finger painted. lol, It actually turned out to my liking. Tell me what you think, this is my second paint job I've ever done.

I wired up a fan with an on/off switch, powered by a 9v battery. I bought all the stuff at Radioshack for about 20 bucks. The visor is the Xl model by T-visor.com, and its in place by the Tk-409 putty method. The duct tape was just there while the putty was drying to hold it in place

Yah, My helmet Decals finally came in the mail! Now if I can just get that package from Canada I've been waiting on, I'll be great

Well due to some constructive criticism, I decided to fill in my dent with putty. Tommorrow it should be good and dry and I'll sand it down, and try to match the paint as close as the rest, without respraying. While I was at it, I also touched up some scratches with a sharpie

Believe me JK3, Im trying to make My Jodo in your suit's shadow . Im still waiting on my Resin peices, so I'm keeping my self busy with little " filler projects". I have a Kellogs clone helmet on the way, and Im about to have some Chest armor on the way as of Tuesday. So I should be plenty of busy

little update*

Today I sanded down the dent, and would have painted it but I apparently forgot to buy the green . Today I also made a spacer for my range ear cap. My cap was too close to the helmet so my Range finder wouldn't fit. So traced a template, and cut out a peice from sintra. I glues it with 2 part epoxy and filled in the sides with the putty.


I also painted my belt I got from lionspride " Jodo Gray" Here is a pic:

Right now, Im working out the kinks on the helmet. The green is a little too bright so I'm gonna gonna dark wash it tommorrow. And tommorrow, Im getting ahold of Hand-schaub to get some armor

The orange is the same color as JK3's and Jodo_Kast, Krylon Pumpkin Orange. Do any of you know if this color is still in production? I went to Wal-Mart and I couldn't find any

No where else, it just weirded me out cuz Wal-Mart usually has it in abundance. I guess its sellin really well with Halloween right around the corner. It doesn't matter anyway cuz I found an almost full can sitting around the house

I finally got the much needed parts from Marrow Sun and went straight to it. I glued the range and stalk together, used a flush mount to bolt it to the side. I then glued on the cap. I Hand painted on Kill stripes and painted the dent. I couldn't find the exact color I used for the dome so the the dent area is a little off. but I "damaged" the area to make it seem appropropiate.

Update:I made a girth today using rope from Wal-Mart and two belts.I also found my Sintra Cod that I lost when I moved.

Update: Sprayed on the Emblem provided by JK3 ( thanks), I put bondo on the cod, added burn damage to the armor, put on the shoulder studs, and worked on my clone






Oh and this is how I made the Cod:


I first made the base peice out of Sintra. To add Dimension, I made a second smaller peice out of a bucket for the Center. I then curved it to my desire and glue it to the Sintra at an angle, with the the top of the Center peice being flush with the sintra. I then filled in the gap with interlocking ducktape strips. After that I added bondo over it all to get it smooth, hard, and seemingly look one peice.

Right now I just have a generic gray one that I weathered, but its on its way out. I want to get one from SGB, I have seen his stuff and it looks pretty good

Nice kit Fett4u, very well done. I had no idea there were so many Jodo's around here. Speaking of projects, I really want to create something similar to Jodo_Kast's grenades or ammo magazine on the holder that looks to be on a small square piece of leather on the right/front hip. What did you use to make those grenades or whatever? I've been trying to come up with a design that's fairly original, but I'm drawing a blank. I've tried medicine bottles, empty acrylic paint bottles, and the like with little to no success-so I need some inspiration. Can anyone throw me a bone on this? I'd appreciate it...

Looking fantastic!! Just an FYI...The girth is brown. I tried dying mine and had zero luck, so I spray painted it and it turned out fantastic!!
Unfortunately, this is the only pic I have of it up close...


But anyway, please let me know when you are ready to start the belt accessories. I can tell you where to get the parts to the whole belt I made.

Thanks JK3, I'll be sure to pick up some brown paint on my next Wally world run. Well today I finished off my scratch made boots. They are not the best in the world, but its hard to find boba boots when you are on a budget and your feet are size 14+. I bought some cheap chucks from wal-Mart. I painted them added black canvas " closure flaps". I found some metal around the house that was pliable, glued on nails, and voila! Toe spikes. They only costed my about 15 bucks, materials, shoes and all. I also started work on my Knee armor today


They need a little touch up on the glue spots

Fett4U.. I would greatly shorten your toe spikes. Being that long is dangerous to yourself and others. The ones on most of the boots I`ve seen (including mine) are 75% shorter than those spikes.

Here is an update on the knees:



I got them back from bondo, sanded them, painted and weathered them. I also attached the elastic and velcro, now I need some darts. Oh and I for got to mention the armor is attached with Industrial strength Wal-Mart Velcro, and Wal-mart Magnets. I added some magnets today around the corners for a tighter fit than in the first trial wear.

Well I trooped for the first time last weekend in my incomplete Jodo. I did a parade with the Southern Outpost, and it was a blast! I got to march next to Boussh and an awesome ESB Boba. I don't know if there are any pics, but there is a video somewhere. It gave me a good idea of stuff to add/fix. I definitely need a Helmet liner, Gaunt pads. I was surprised nothing fell off mid-parade. Anyway, My project for today is the building of a Jet pack using Lisa Fett's tutorial. Wish me luck, after Im done with class I might have some progress shots up.

Ok here is the Jet pack Ive been scratchbuidling. Its made out of Styrofoam, Foam-core board, and masking tape. Im almost done with the body construction. Next is Paper Mache, Bondo and then paint. i am using a combination of Lisa Fett's plans,Wizard of flight templates, and a little free hand guessing. This is a fun little project, and it has only cost me 30 bucks so far, and at the moment its so light I can stick it on with IS Velcro. I even modified the rocket to resemble Jodo's from the comics. Its not dead on but close, What do you guys think?

I finished the scratchbuilt Jet Pack today. Its pretty ugly, but looks decent from about 10 ft, lol. I've already started Version2. The good thing about it, opposed to a FG one, Its really really light. I got my Backplate from ASOK last night. It has been painted, and Im putting new velcro on the vest. Now I have everything. and I just need to make those belt accessories. JK3, what did you make them out of?
