Female chest plate.

Hey guys, I need help finding blueprints or tips for making a female mando chest plate. I'm not looking for a 'sexy' mando, but full tactical. Any help would be great!

Try looking on ebay for a female mannequin bust and cut it up walla female chest armor

i've always felt that if you're not trying to make a "sexy" costume then you shouldn't put boobs on the armor.

Well the pics and figures have boobs =)

but they do look ridiculous.

I guess it depends on the paint scheme too...some of the chic mandos at CV looked pretty decent with boob armor lol

It is funny they did this considering whenever female Mandos were mentioned in writing, they made a point of stating that it was sometimes hard to tell the gender of the wearer.

Yeah, maybe in San Fransisco.

keyword "sometimes" I have actually seen several females who wear the standard plates... however a lot of them got tired of being mistook for a guy and started switching over to the femme plates.

I guess you could make that argument.

That one has nipples... lol... I had to grind them out, then fill them. It sucked... bad... The plastic is 1/8"ish thick and gets hairy when you sand it.

Fortunately, the nipples aren't that pronounced, but more like just implications of them.

(why did I just say "fortunately"? I happen to like nipples ;/)

put tape over the front of the nipples and bondo from the back. Take the tape off after it sets and it should be relatively smooth already and not need a lot of sanding. Even if it's a little thick on the inside, it shouldn't make them uncomfortable too much.

But I'm not a woman so I can't say for sure.

meh I sanded the nipples down until I almost broke through, then poured resin in the back.
worked like a charm until i powersanded the bondo'd boobs and the resin plugs fell out due to the vibrations.
but now that the outside is bondo'd no real need for the resin plugs ... that look like perfect nipples, might paint them and stick em on my own plates as a joke.

Anyone play Mass Effect? Use Ashley Williams as reference.

it's down to cup size really... if you can go for standard plates.
If you want or need cupped plates go with something understated and subtle like the above.
or go for the full on bombshell, with skin tight bodysuit and revealing cut away panels.. just don't expect more than drool

Thats the same thing that I did, bro. I just used epoxy putty because it dries to be solid as a rock in like 5-7 minutes. Its a lot harder than Bondo.

Or you could fill the epoxy on the back b4 sanding there for you would be able to sand it down to the level you wanted an b done with it

I could have... But I didn't think I was gonna break through. Like Muad said, it doesn't LOOK like its gonna be that difficult, but turns out that its a pain. Probably best to just get one that doesn't have nips at all. Just save the headache all together. Stupid nipples... lol...

I got away with standard plates, but I'm pretty small. Honestly, because we females have such diverse structures I suggest going custom with your plates. I didn't do this, but I've heard and seen other chicks taking a duct tape cast of themselves, chopping up the tape-shell, and using that as a TEMPLATE for plates.

And if you can fit the standard plates and don't want to be mistaken for a guy there are plenty of ways to make the rest of your kit more feminine but not necessarily "sexy" for you. Hope that helps!
