I've been tossing around exactly what kind of beskar'gam I want to build. The Fetts are amazing, but every Mandalorian should have his own set.
I'm taking the Boba Fett beskar'gam I purchased a few years back and moding it up. I've been searching around thedentedhelmet and Mandalorian Mercs website, and I've found a lot of great techniques. I'll probably be doing a mixture of plastic shaping, fiberglass, and metal work. The suit will also incorporate environmental controls (aka antifog/cooling) and a few more electronic gismos.
What the beskar'gam will have added (as of now):
Foot, shin, thigh, and upper arm armor
Gauntlet actuated RF Servo
Mic/speaker/ headset built into bucket
working keyboard on left gaunlet
HI LED lights above visor
I've got a few more ideas to add to it, but we will see how things go. Pictures to come soon. Right now I'm starting a new bucket out of oversized WOF templates so that it can incorporate the electronics, padding, and my big head (7 5/8" hat size).
non-Mando Inspirations:
EOD 9 Bomb Disposal Suit by Med-Eng
Vuzix Tac-Eye Products
