En4cer's Custom Mando Project
I am also starting on a year long custom mando project. I decided to go with an "LSU" custom mando, since we already have a "New Orleans Saints" custom mando in our group. I have included a few drawings of what I am trying to go for. I have already ordered the armor and I have Batninja making the vest for me. Over the next several months, I will order my helmet, belt, scats, pouches and have the helmet professionally painted.

Well I just received the rangefinder stalk in yesterday, and will be working on installing it in a few days along with the visor. I can't wait to get it all together and see how it turns out. The only thing I really have left to get is a purple flightsuit. By the way, how do you attach the cape to the armor? Thanks! :)

The cape is attached to the top left of the collar piece using armor blocks. Best way to make those is to pop 4 keys of the same size (the F keys work best) off a computer keyboard, then flatten the tops and bottoms on a grinder. JB weld you some screws into the left blocks so you can screw them down onto the armor. Poke a couple holes in the cape then put the screws through and bold them down to your armor. The right side you can just epoxy on.

I have everything else except the jumpsuit. As soon as I get some extra money, that will be the last thing I will need to get. :D

Your chest pieces look a tad big. You may wanna cut them down a tad on the outside. Other then that, looks great!

I think what I need to do is bend the chest pieces more towards the inside. They are kind of sticking straight up.

We've got a local (American) Football team my friend plays for, the Nighthawks. If my ESB paint-job turns out naff, I was thinking of possibly doing a custom Mando based on their kit - a more simplistic silver and black. Mind you, I'd be worried about someone from the opposing team tackling me if I turned up to a game! :wacko :lol
