Custom "Spy" Beskar'gam.

New Hunter
Since I will be getting my 4'x8' sheet of 1/8" thick PVC either this week or next week I decided I should start my WIP thread!

The main design of this armor is going to be a medium set up with a few modifications.

The colors will be:
Black
ROTJ red
Metallic Silver

There will be a lot of flowing cloth involved in this build.
- There will be a cowl that hangs from the helmet to mask the whole neck area.
- A hood that goes over the helmet and flows onto the shoulders.
- A regular cape that will be black with either a red mythosaur skull or the Imperial symbol (maybe KDY but not sure)
- A "cape" that will start at the belt line and go down a couple inches past the knees with 1 split in the center of it.

Helmet:
I have started on a Don post 1995 rotocast vinyl helmet that will be getting fiberglassed tomorrow. I am not sure as to do a custom t-visor set up or have the typical visor set up.

The visor will be either be red, black or a mirrored platinum finish.

Armor:
The chest armor will be all black.
The knees, shoulder pauldrons, and cod piece will be the ROTJ red.

I will have the shin armor and thigh armor also.

Gauntlets:
I am not sure what I want to do with the gauntlets just yet. They may be silver, black or red. They will either be ESB or ROTJ gauntlets painted and have some other custom little do-hickies on them.

Side note for the helmet.

I have some big things planned for the helmet if everything works out as planned. I will have fans to circulate air with vent holes cut or drilled into the ear pieces.
The helmet will have a commander cody visor on it, or something similar that will have a nice rangefinder contraption that either flips down, or gets slid out of the way.

I want to also put some sort of display inside the helmet as though it were the real deal like Fett's. This will probably be near impossible but I might as well try anyways. The display would be scrolling aurebesh or something.

Now as we all know, fett has a 360deegree FOV. well I want to do something similar to this. This is where that rangefinder comes in handy.
I will get a back up camera and mount it into the keyhole slot on the inside of the helmet. That will then be hooked up to an MP3 player display that is positioned on the rangefinder I then will be able to flip down the rangefinder and be able to see behind me! If it doesn't work in the helmet the camera will be mounted to the BFUK jet pack.
I might DynaMat the inside of the helmet also to keep outside noises out and have some sort of microphone on the armor somewhere to pick up surrounding sounds.

There will ofcourse be a microphone with voice amplifier/radiofyer to let people hear me!

I hope you could read that just fine!

More updates tomorrow if I get around to fiberglassing the helmet!

Thanks for reading!

wow. when I say spy i was thinking something more in the way of a black and silver tuxedo with a matching fett helmet :)

Sweet!!! If you do the 360 wrap around, do a step-by-step would you; I tried something like that and butchered it...:p

Your descripsion sounds awesome!!! Kinda like a dark Altiar assassin mando...

I will be watching this with great interest...

:cheers

Here is the helmet after fiberglassing the dome!

My gosh this fiberglassing is fun and cheap!! 9 USD for the resin, 2 USD for the liquid hardener and 4 USD for an 8sqFT sheet of fiberglass!

The helmet is much, much, much stronger in the dome and when I do the lower parts next week it will be a whole new helmet!

I should be getting my PVC sheet sometime this week or next so I will start the armor then.

Alright 9 pictures you are going to be shown!

Here we go:
A front view from a high angle of the full helmet.

The crack that formed when it fell from the table I had it sitting on while the fiberglass was drying.

The original crack that needed fixing with temporary hot glue on the outside to hold its shape while glassing the inside.

Somewhat hard to see but as the yellowish color of the dome states you can see that I have fiberglassed the whole dome with reinforcement of the cracked areas.

My soon to by custom rangefinder screen/360degree FOV screen.

Materials used:

Left to right:
bondo auto body filler, Bondo fiberglass resin, Bondo fiberglass Cloth, Bondo liquid hardener(resin), Bondo spot/finishing putty.
I guess I should get some sponsorship from bondo or something for this helmet!

My workspace:

If you see the posters you can tell that I used to race MX. Now a pool table is sitting where my KX used to sit. :cry

The blasted pool table that I am using as a work space/staging area right now. As you can see by the clutter in the back left My garage got to store all of my cousins stuff till she we can move it into her and her husbands new house.

I hope you enjoyed!
