Custom Mando-ish armor suit for my girlfriend

SuperTrooper

Jr Hunter
I finally have peaked my girlfriends interest of costuming. I tried the generic Zam or other starwars main character but she didn't like them enough to have her own suit. So on a 2 hour drive back home today I asked her millions of questions and she really got into it. She really likes the look of a classic mando but wants custom color armor, custom shaped, basically completely custom to the point and I quote "you wouldn't suspect it would be from starwars, but you also would have this hunch that it is". I printed off a generic blank female figure and got drawing based on what she likes. Her main insperation of course was when I showed her the all white female snow fett I have seen elsewhere on the boards. She loved that suit but wants it even more custom. Well enough rambling, here is my concept of what she could do:

Ideas and opinions are welcome!

The easiest parts of this project to attain will be the cotton/twill undersuit.

I've been looking every place I can imagine for good pvc/latex/vinyl White 3/4 boots and Opera gloves (full arm) and I can't find anything that matches what I'm looking for. Granted my girl has told me to finish my Jango before I get started on her suit, I still am trying to find a solid reference for my materials for this suit.

I plan on using a Jango holster that has been died white, or simply using different materials but using the same template, as I plan on the suit having a Jango pistol (westar?) as well as a long range rifle attached to her back that we discussed and decided to add recently to her arsenal.

The chest armor will be what you see in the depiction but she has stated that there isn't enough "going on" as far as it's design so I may as well be making it a hard armor chest plate that has sections similar to a classic Fem Mando build, but with much smaller gaps between the plates.

The abdomen/lower back is going to be a smooth corset type piece with the "winding" red detail stripe. The stripe itself is still being decided upon by her as to what else she would like for it to be. I suggested a possible mini bandolier but that's just my opinion.

She is only going to have upper back armor instead of a full back plate. It is going to be at least two pieces with a vertical gap in between. Picture individual backplate sections, one for each shoulder blade. That is my idea, but I may add in a back of the neck collar piece....all really depends on what she wants.

I told her that I think it would be cool if she had a suit and she liked the idea but was iffy about it. I told her it didnt have to be 501st approved to make me happy and she was suddenly into it! She likes the fact that I'm going to make something for her. I think she is going to be really happy with the end product.

I just realised that my concept suit looks REALLY similar to Miranda's suit from Mass Effect 2. Take into account the full arm sleeves, the white undersuit, the rectabgular neck cutout, the vshaped belt.....yeah I know a bunch of differences but seriously I feel like I had a surge of ESP when designing it now that I've had the time to look at her character in the game. Really similar if you ask me. Might just decide to make a Miranda costume for the gf instead. we shall see...

Let me know what you think, especially if you have gotten the opportunity to play ME2!
