Custom Mando Art

Yeah I am two finals down with only two more to go. Then I will have nearly a month off from school; the perfect time (aside from Christmas and Glamis trip) to work on the armor and all. But yeah kal'ika take your time. As I have stated I am in no rush. I am knowing that I will have this finished before the Phoenix Cactus Comi-Con. It will be great.

ok that's kinda rough! lol however... as far as the master sketch goes I am getting there. I have a lot of the characters drawn in already. I have all but the following: Jason (sketched, waiting scanning), Adonian Dar'jetti, Adonian Snow, Pacx, Sabre, CC720, 1 from my old squad and a few of my old school favorites (i.e. Hydra's Lizean, Hydra's snow, Novall Talon, A'den Skirata and a few others from the mercs.) Mand'alor Fett will be included too, eventually. Right now the picture covers two full sheets of standard sized drawing paper, eventually it will cover 3,4 or even more.

yeah CC... I'm sorry it's not done yet... I am working on it I promise... I couldn't find the plates on your thread so I'm working with a full jango set... but I'm working on doing your color in digital inking with my digital graphics tablet... that's why it's taking so long but I expect better quality for it.

Hey Kal, i shouldnt be one to be asking but was the progress on the mass sketch? I know im massivly behind so it might not be my place to ask but im pretty excited for it!

Well the Phoenix Cactus Comi-Con is not till May so I have time. If it is not done by then; then more then likely I will wear the full set of camoflauge gear that I finally got my hands on. So there is no worries on that.

well Lev'ika... I have everyone roughed out (for the initial group) I am working on the colors right now... and trying to get CC's sketch done because she kinda needs it, but it is coming along... slowly but surely it is coming along

This is the armor design I did for CC720... hope ya like it! BTW... this is my first requested sketch done entirely in digital with my new graphics tablet... they'll improve... I promise!

Looks great, Kal'ika. The black is a little dark, kinda blends everything together, but other than that, fantastic!

hmm... yeah I kinda wanted it to look black and not grey, I guess maybe I overdid it a bit tho...lol

wanted to let guys know what's going on... I'm still drawing. I just haven't had anything near close enough to good that I'd want to show it off lately. I haven't had any requests either so... lol anyhow, I'm working on the big group picture but I keep restarting it because I am never really happy with it for some odd reason. I've reposed a few ppl more than once and I've colored and recolored the sketch more times than I can count, only to decide I just want to stop... and start over again, so that's where I am right now... starting over. Don't worry tho it'll look okay I think.

just looked at some of your pictures. they are awesome. when i have finished mine (which could be some time just so you know) maybe you could try and draw mine?

naw man nothin extra really just the upgraded buckets... Fi has a low profile RF and mine has a macrobinoc that I wear high on the forehead... not on the top of the head like Mer'ika... mine's just above the jaing eyes, and then there's the fangs on the lower cheeks.

well... actually I'm still doing the group sketch project... I've had to rework it several times... but... It's slowly coming together. I've also been doing work on my armor and resketching it from time to time. Unfortunately with work I've been REALLY busy. I'm about 4 months from being fully mission qualified and then I'll be able to crank out about a sketch a week again... give or take.

well hey guys, hows it going? just letting you guys know i'm alive and well!!!

yeah guys I still live... just haven't been doing any drawing lately. I know it sucks and I had some computer issues, lost my whole art file so I'm basically having to rebuild from scratch. I'm not happy about it but it is what it is. I also forgot if I have any unanswered requests... if you've asked me for something and I haven't done it for you yet, please tell me so I can get to work on it, otherwise I'm probably going to go off on my own and work on some random stuff... which may/may not be very entertaining.

Here's a digital inking I did a while back of my/fi's armor kits. Not completed of course. A few small changes not pictured include the new rifle and combat knife on my armor, as well as the change to the thigh plates (now using the animated deathwatch style thighs with pistol on left and grenades on right) and the grenade pack on the leg is no more. Also got rid of the blue marks on my thigh plates.

he he one side is barbed wire the other is concertina wire... at least that's where the inspiration came from. He said he wanted something "sharp and edgey" and this is what popped into my head

@AranarNakk: Yup got the details, I'll take a look at it in a day or so... the duty schedule is kinda rough right now... but I have a little bit of free time every now and then.

@BlackFury: Absolutely, just need to see what it actually looks like and I'll fire up something for ya. May be a few days tho.

Just so y'all know, I'm very limited on capability right now. I'm restricted to a camera (not a scanner) for the time being, and I had a limit on what I could bring with me... unfortunately markers just didn't make the cut when compared to uniforms, PT gear, issued gear, my laptop and some family photos. Therefore, colorization will be delayed by at least a month, possibly more until I can either get some markers here or get home, depending. That being said, thanks for the interest! I'll work diligently in my down time.
