tonight's project is my jump version of my armor and... the designs for the MAF logo for Jango and myself, as well as I want to design some star warsy versions of the qualification badges that my mando would wear, i.e. jump wings (since I'm adding airborne to his skill set... thanks to Jason making a way too cool buy'ce for me to pass up) and controller wings

Ok I know I'm not really one to talk... but dang ner vod, I count 9 lightsabers and 4 blasters there... do u really expect to lose that many lightsabers? lol

Actually 11 sabers, the guard shoto are gonna be double bladed
However the calf, shoto and claws are permanently attached, so 8 non-movable, and the 2 standard and 1 long handle.

Here's a quick sketch for you guys. This is the jumper version of my armor... the kit that was worn during the clone wars so that I could accompany my specially trained pathfinder clones on their jumps. The Buy'ce is the one being built for me by Jas'ika and... the detailing of the blue fangs (on the buy'ce) and the blue slashes on the armor plating are being added to the overall armor.

not really... that's what the grenades and ranged weapons are for... but it's more for getting to the ground from higher altitude

He he yeah but it's Star Wars... anything's possible ner vod. Besides, 40MM can be fired up to 600 hundred yards, 30 feet is only 10 yards. Rifle launched grenades really add range and punch... like I said tho, the jet pack is more for getting to the ground... the weapons are for once we're down

Hmm yeah yeah. Just watch your landings, you'd be surprised how many injuries can be caused by landing badly. I saw one kid with his ankles crushed from falling 20ft from a balcony. It's bad.

yeah sounds kinda rough... btw Pacx... can't wait for the finished story! I'm going to do some extra stuff (from the CW) for it and I plan on making it into my very first COMIC BOOK! lol

DUH why didnt i think of making it larger ARGH.

lol I had to touch up the details a bit due to blurring when I enlarged it but oh well. I think it turned out alright! Now on to the next project...lmao

So seeing as I made a request in Levi's thread for a drawing of a mando I figured why not crack at it with you. It will help me get an initial design for what I can put into my mandalorian armor. You've seen many of my updates and progress pictures so hopefully you know what to do. Take your time vod..no need to rush and thanks a bunch!

No problem vod! I still gotta talk to my buddy about casting these things...because you do NOT want my original...I built a hyperlight dome (less than a pound, yet I can stand on it) then proceeded to pack bondo to build all those ridges and such on the back (now it weighs a ton)...And I want em to be hollow, so we're gonna mold and cast em with urathane plastic...a bit more expensive then resin, but amazingly strong...so in the end it will be perfect!!! I'm stoked about this (as if you couldnt tell...)

How exactly do you want this part to look? Does the top piece (circled part) stick out over the lower piece? of am just suffering from a 2D moment and totally not seeing it?

should be about the same, maybe a SLIGHT protrusion, barely even noticeable.

Alright...awesome!!! That makes my life so much easier... I was trying all these wierd angles and overlays and undercuts &cs and it was looking really strange...lol Now I can just make it all the same initally, then add a plate of sintra over it to give it a bit of protrusion...

How many Mando's? A rockface is always good. Do a sort of sniper after sniper after sniper thing. Lots of ledges and crevices to stick them in. Even if they aren't snipers, it still gives you lots of good platforms for them to stand/sit/lay on.

well... right now I have 6 of 9-10 total mando'ade sketched already. Kal is sitting on an ammo crate, Fi is sitting on the ground, Ord'ika is sitting indian style and A'den, Lev'ika and Mereel are standing... Mereel angled in from the left, A'd'ika and Lev'ika from the right.

Hmm....put the others on a giant Jell-O mold? Nah.

You need yourself a vehicle. Something like Luke's landspeeder with a mounted gun where the tail engine was. That takes care of 3. If it winds up being 10, toss the last one in next to Mereel.

yeah I was thinking maybe a basiliisk in the background... maybe a hanger or a forward deployed camp or something... but I need something that nobody's going to really blend into

Oooooh. Good call on the Bes'uliik. With all your Mando's, I think a hangar might be a little hard to squeeze in. An FDC sounds good, though.

Okay here's a quick update: I have 7 vode finished: Kal, Fi, A'd'ika, Lev'ika, Ord'ika, Jang'ika and Mer'ika. I have 5 of them already fused and ready to color, I have 2 more waiting to be scanned. That leaves Ad'ika, Kad'ika (lil' saber), and Pac'ika. I plan on having this one done pretty soon, but I'm also trying to work on my own armor at the same time so...lol

Ill get adonians and Pacx's to you asap

Hey at least it is something to do in the long run. I am actually to busy to do any work in terms of my armor right now. School finals are really catching up to me. Lucky I only have three more things to do for school and then I am free to do what I want for the next month LOL! And that counts on my mando design and getting it set up with paint. LOL!

lol well I'm now waiting on Lev'ika! lol so CC I'll get to work on yours. Do you want me to use standard plates for your armor or make a design based on those other pics u posted up?

Standard mandalorian plates. That is what I made when I started on the card board of it all. LOL!

Adonian) have multiple armor sets! lol (myself included). Speaking of which... check out my armor thread, I've made progress! Spent a few hours today and got the leg plates built, just need to finish 'em up now.

for give me for being crazy , I just love my armor... even if it aint done yet but I have bad news... I (and all my fellow employees) have lost hours since November so I have no $ to work on my armor. I wont finish anything until late January.
