Custom Mando

Since joining the 501st in '04 I always wanted to make my own Mando. I finally got the chance! I just got my Asok a while ago and after a tough tme trying to figure out how to get that nice metal shine...I'm done! TY to saint_nasty for the help! Now I went all the way to 1000, but it was too smooth for what i wanted. So I went to 600 and lightly marked "stainless steel" lines across the dome and a slight swirl on the top of the dome. I used Meguiars Hot Rims All Metal Polish and it worked GREAT! I always wanted to do a Jango/Boba cross. All Jango style armor and bucket with a Boba cape custom paint and a new design for a blaster. I'm planning on going black on the cheek bones, and blue on the eyes and brow. I'll use metal for the ears and the RF will be blue. I haven't figured out what color jumpsuit I'll use, but I'm going to use all silver armor with "fangs" painted in blue down the chest (I have the concept in my head..lol). I'm cuttin out my visor tonight and will cut out the eyes tomorrow. I'll start painting in the next couple days. Super excited about this build!!

TY TY. I just cut the eys and started priming. I'll have more pics in the next couple days. Gonna use a motorcycle visor (dark black and UV..cause FL is bright and hot!). Now i got to jump on armor for the next stage.

I'm really loving the paint scheme. Still have to do the ears and some minor detail work. I'm using the Rustoleum Ocean Blue (old CRL for 501st). I'm addicted to the color.

More updates. I still have some small detail work to do and some fine lines to finish, but all in all I love the scheme. I did keep the ears metal, but I like the black a LOT better. The bucket just has a more "evil" look to it now. I also raised the RF ear up like Boba being I just like the look better then down flush. Some final touchups around the ears ...polish the CC again....and it's ready for the lens.
